About

The world is breaking… AWAKEN - Astral Blade is a 2.5D action-adventure metroidvania where you play as Tania, a bionic warrior fighting through a world twisted by Karpas energy. What began as a search mission quickly turns into something far more sinister, as the missing investigation team proves to be only the beginning. A mysterious force has corrupted the land itself, twisting wildlife and vegetation into hostile, unpredictable forms. But this world doesn’t explain itself, and you uncover its truth piece by piece.
Master a precise and responsive combat system built around speed, timing, and control. Chain together dynamic combos, parry incoming attacks at the perfect moment, and turn defense into offense. Use Quick Rise to stay in the fight, and dash through enemies to slow time itself, gaining a brief window of invulnerability and devastating counterattacks from hordes of enemies and bosses.
Explore a dense, interconnected world designed to respect your time while encouraging discovery. Uncover hidden paths, fragments of a lost narrative, and remnants of those who came before you. The deeper you go, the more the world reveals — and the more dangerous it becomes.
Harness the mysterious Aether, a volatile resource and use it for your own benefits. Enhance Tania’s abilities and strength, unlock new combat skills, or invest in upgrades that adapt to your playstyle. Whether you focus on raw strength, mobility, or tactical flexibility — the path forward is yours to define.
Face intense combat encounters and powerful bosses, or adjust the difficulty and gain helpful buffs when needed. The experience adapts — but the journey remains yours.

Honestly, much better than what I have expected. For one, it is much larger than it might initially seem. Exploration is quite fun, and there are many unique kinds of collectibles, which is always nice. Combat is probably where this game shines the most, as it genuinely is really fun and satisfying. Art is great, especially in the cutscenes. There are some visual bugs or inconsistencies out in the world, but it is hardly noticeable. Voice acting was a surprise, and a decently well done at that, albeit the frequency of its appearance was rather...off. Sometimes it appeared for like one sentence, and then went quiet on the next one. Music is...fine. I mean, I will be honest, it is a bit of a letdown. It is essentially nothing but ambiance. And while it is actually well done ambiance, like, it does sound nice, it still gets stale rather quick. It also ruins the mood of the boss fights, as there seems to either be no actual battle music, or battle music is also an ambiance, which is...definitely a choice. Story is nice enough, nothing too crazy, but maybe my standards are just way too high. Tho I will say that dialogue is sometimes a bit unnatural, both because of the weaker translation to english, and because it just is either too expository, or too random. One final gripe I have, is that upon reaching the endgame, balancing just gets thrown out of the window. On normal difficulty, you get one or two shotted by a decent chunk of standard enemies, and by every single endgame boss. For standard enemies it is fine, as you also one or two shot them, but it gets problematic in boss fights. Still, game is quite generous when it comes to accessibility options, so makes it a bit better. Albeit I do think for future games, some better balancing might be welcome;3 Anyway, game is good, better than it might initially seem. Can recommend.
Fun little Metroidvania. Not that long, but it was never boring. 90% of all boss fights were really fun as well. The only ones I didn't like were gank bosses. The combat is interesting because it rewards switching weapons and performing combos. Exploration and platforming are both well done, some of the hardest platforming segments can be skipped via an option in the settings, but they're usually just about knowing certain tricks to jump far/high enough (like doing certain combos mid-air). As for the difficulty, the game has difficulty options as well as a setting to make things easier if you die a lot repeatedly. I played on Hardcore (highest difficulty you can choose at the start of the game) and without any other assistance settings and it still wasn't that difficult. I had a harder time with Ender Magnolia, which is still relatively easy as far as Metroidvanias go. But it wasn't too easy either, it kept me engaged at the very least. The worst part about the game is easily the story, but I personally don't care about that anyway, I'm here for the gameplay.
Excelente Metroidvania com uma pegada de RPG.
