The application is working 100% - It's lightning fast responsive. If you have speedy fingers and mice that can race across the screen, you will indeed make music with this software. Record it with something else. But the sounds are accurate. The chords are visible, the notes on the piano are there to reference. You have 4 primary instruments - and varying chords per instrument - where the sounds go higher or lower You can place cappo's on your string instruments They are: ♠Bass Guitar ♠Acoustic Guitar ♠Grand Piano ♠Electric Piano As said, these instruments respond to you as if you were there playing it. You can go extremely crazy and it will replicate with no lag, etc. I tested extremely fast keyboard replication, and the application will reference your fingers pressing the pattern of them, in such a fashion, that it dims the sound, because it picks up you're just going back and forth. When you stop and continue, the sound is back to normal. Every single chord in existence, is in this game, so for all string instrumentalists, and pianists, you may easily use this as a guide. Now for the part, that I desire to do: Replicate Beethoven or some music :) with a secondary monitor. One as an aid to read that music by the notes, and then try replicate it with AudioTheory Guitars. Besides practicing guitar in real life with this as a reference, it's really great to play. You can get your own ears into the right sounds, and also use it in reverse to help tune your instruments if you have got accurate hearing. <You could harness the skill with this application> There's lots of ways to make this applicable to your life. if you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

I've always wanted the bridge between piano and guitar. I first learned piano and the layout contributes greatly to my ability to appreciate musical nuance to scales and keys and guitar (and violin) are play more intuitively This app allows me to visualize the relationship between the two. Thank you.

Interactive charts of scales and chords. Better than flipping thru a ton of guitar reference books and cheaper too. Dev is super nice and responsive. The gods of rock smile upon this program, they urge you to buy it.

I believe that if I'd had this resource in 1989, learning to play would've been a bit easier. That is, in my estimation, the real value here. While the chord list is not huge, it does cover what you need to know to get you going. This is more of a tool for possibly teaching the basics of guitar theory to a piano player or vice versa. However, as a music educator. There is so much that has been left out. It's nice to look at when teaching a phrase, lick or arpeggio so the student can actually see the notes and different positions on the neck the same notes occur. The fact that the programmers included the modes without any true explanation of how that part of theory actually works would leave beginners and even some intermediate players confused. There are so many scales other than minor, major, pentatonic, and blues. I just feel it is very limited to what can be self taught without the aid of a teacher, and in todays do-it-yourself mentality, this would create a whole plethora of confused and frustrated musicians. Consider putting more than just notes and an interface to help the new learners and continuing learners. If you want to learn theory, please seek either a good teacher or a teacher that wrote a good how to book. The cheating and quick methods usually just leave you with less to work with and more to learn.

I've only used this for a short time but I am a self taught guitarist learning piano and also writing music. This program comes in clutch in a ton of ways for me personally. First day using it I already wrote a very tight song using the program as a reference and brainstorming source. I will get a lot of miles out of this. YMMV

Great little tool get it you will learn Its less then a cup of coffee or a beer

A neat little program with quick reference UI and some more in depth features too. Would love a guided learning mode, but I know that's a whole other program.
