Do not waste your time. This game is WORSE than terrible. First of all.....thats some deceptive crap in the video making it look like you have hold of the handlebars, because you DON'T. Its touchpad controls.....and poor one at that. Oh....and this 'ATV' is SLOW.....and I mean boringly slow. The audio is pathetic, fake, does not match the atv. Seriously....the original Excitebike had better audio. The trees........how can you have square trunks on trees in 2018? this dev is clearly lazy not bothering to find or create a tree file that looks real. * So, in summary....if you want to awkwardly move around at a slow pace and look at square trees while a headache inducing fake motor sound replays over and over in your ears.....then this game might be for you. Otherwise.....don't waste your disk space. * GenX gamer....signing out....
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This could be a really good game. It's almost there. The controls just suck on the Oculus Rift and I imagine it's almost as bad on the HTC Vive wands (although not as bad because at least you guys get to pull trigger to speed up). On the Oculus, you only use one Touch controller (your right motion controller) and you only use the joystick. You basically press down and move it in the direction you want to turn or reverse. That's it. I would have loved to have been able to grab on to the handlebars and use one trigger to accelerate and the other to reverse. So this is basically one environment that you get to drive around with on your ATV. The sense of speed is there, it definitely looks and feels right. I do wish you could go faster, but still it's fast enough. There's several ramps along the way that you can play with. There's also some cement tunnels you can go under. There's a dirt track you can follow or you can drive almost anywhere. It's just fun driving around in this environment, even with no goals or no real gameplay other than just driving around and messing around (nothing wrong with that when you're on an ATV!). However, the physics are almost non-existent. So the good is that you do feel the elevations in the terrain. But that's pretty much it. There is no dirt or mud effect apparently on your traction, even though you can see it. No dirt going up, nothing at all, which is part of the fun of going offroad. The water also has no effect. It's like you're on the same ground. The collision physics are okay, but not very realistic. It is fun jumping the ramps, but it's hard/impossible to accelerate fast enough to clear some of the tricks. If the above issues were fixed, this game would be so much fun. Instead, it's just a nice novelty. Still, it's probably the best such experience. That counts for something in my book. For the sale price of $3.49, I think it's worth checking out! Rate 6/10. Yeah, I did an accidental wheelie, see below! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1386331173 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1386331447

I got this title on the Steam Summer Sale of 2021 for .99 cents USD. For that price? It's a nifty title where you can roam around on an ATV. You can do jumps, cross bridges, drive through water, on a fairly large area. I got it to work with the Oculus Rift controllers just fine and the ride was fun. I have no idea if it's realistic, but it was nice to get out in the sunshine and roam around. I know it's not the point, but it would be fun to get off the ATV and maybe walk, ride canoes, etc. Or have more paths. Not bad though and well worth the sales price.
