I adore this game! I really love that it forces some pretty devilish puzzles at you really early on and doesn't hold back! Lovely design, really tightly planned out. Highly recommend to people looking for some fresh kind of logical thinking.
I expected a fairly generic visual novel when I discovered Artificial Nexus but was surprised to find something more akin to a puzzle-based point & click. I wasn't a huge fan of the art and found the writing to be a bit too "young adult" for my taste but the puzzles required some solid sleuthing & deduction. The game keeps notes for you but I found the puzzles were just complex enough I needed to use my own notebook to work out the patterns, which was delightful. This game is so fun! The puzzles really get you thinking, which just makes finding the solution even more rewarding! I love this game dev and will definitely be on the lookout for the next game!
The repeated minigame isn't really the best; and the game REALLY wants you to commit to reading all of the text within the game to figure things out. Overall had a positive experience, but I think the type of game made here is what you'd get away with if you were more known for making this type of game with alternate endings. I did mess up my save file with a bug that's since been patched, so I wasn't able to technically finish the game myself
Very engaging fun mystery!! Felt like I've only just scratched the surface, definitely worth a purchase if you're a fan of this genre.
I had fun with this game. I was given a key to play for the game's anniversary. It's genuinely a fun little visual novel with charming voice acting, and some pretty decent puzzles. The final one is *very* obtuse, but if you have the determination, you can figure it out with no outside help. Highly recommend. Worth the price.
Artificial Nexus is an intriguing visual novel. While some story beats were easy for me to guess, that didn't make the adventure any less exciting. The art is super cute and the style of game simple in theory but detailed in execution. You definitely need to work your brain when solving the puzzles or digging deeper into the secrets and mystery of Susan's surroundings. The voice actors were absolutely phenomenal. I could feel their emotions, their pain and sorrow in certain scenes. You really feel for their journey. I've only played a few endings and plan to go back and get the ones I'm missing. If you got a few hours and a notebook handy, I highly recommend giving this game a chance!
Fantastic Game. Deep puzzles, engaging story, fantastic characters.
I was initially expecting a fairly short VN with a few simple puzzles. Instead I received a pretty solidly long game with dialogue that had bits of information, humour, and shennanigans. Lots of lore and tidbits scattered rewarding looking around and paying attention, even though there is an auto-note system for many bits of information once you discover them. You still need to actually figure out how to use the information in the various puzzles you run into. The VA's do a great job and its nice that major story elements are fully voiced, while intermediary bits have a bit of... tone snippet? which gives a good idea of how the person might be saying the statement which is nice. I believe there's a better ending, but also a worse ending than the one I ended up achieving. And I'm keeping my notes because there are still things I haven't found and I gotta spin back up to figure out where they can be used to see what the best ending might entail. The only issues I can think of are wishing I could make notes while viewing the current screen and there is a few too many "dont you know / no, Amnesia remember?" during dialogue bits. But these are such minor complaints compared to the amount of delight.
