It has been my type of game. PVP from the beginning with a character progression. Sadly, once your chest rewards have accumulated to 3 chests with no gems to unlock 1 chest, you can't collect anymore chest rewards. So, this becomes a thumbsdown for me.
I very much like the idea and execution of this game's gameplay, it has some issues in terms of monetization but for now you can get to the high ranks without paying anything. Custom games have equalized card levels so that's definitely helping the game. Edit: After investing some more time into it I have to say that monetization is more problematic than I first thought. It's very pay to win and after the first few hours/days of playing progression virtually grinds to a hold.

This game is amazing.... and such a shame this game will be no more after this season.. its games like this that need to survive. this is one of the best games i everplayed in this category... very quick battles and very fun there is limits on gold u can gain from winning matches per day but thats not a big deal makes the game even more fun, #savearenastars
I like the game, but I don't recommend it, and here is why: - Capped in-game currency. If you play it rarely, it shouldn't be a problem, but the fact that there is a cap is a minus for me, it's not rewarding if you want to play it for long. - EXTREME balance issues. Some cards are utterly ridiculous in terms of power. Miss Tea(one of the game Heroes) does to much compared to other characters. - The typical nature of this type of game, pay to win, although it isn't extreme. In my play time, I haven't once been beat due to the other person having overpowered cards. - Rare Hero Cards. Having Hero Cards is essential to upgrade your hero, I have 2 heroes in 5 hours of gameplay, one of which is the starter, and the other from the "Tutorial"(I think). What I kinda like: - UI is intuitive. - Gameplay can be fun. Since winning and losing isn't only based on cards played, but also how you manage your hero. The fact that you can have several playstyles is cool too. You can rush the other player HP, you can blow up the Engine as fast as possible, making the enemy player unable to play cards. - Even for a P2W game, players are decently rewarded. EDIT: I abbandoned this game. Everytime a new update comes along, my game crashes on launch. Balance changes are done to try to hide the clear lack of game balance, since most changes haven't changed anything about the game(certain characters/cards got nerfed but are still overpowered). Winning and losing at higher ranks is useless, since you gain extremely low amounts of trophies when you win, and lose extremely low amounts when you lose. I can't keep playing a game that is this inconsistent.
Initial reaction is favorable! Will update as I play more :)
Don't be me. I start playing the game, I'm a fan of games where it's a small battleground with two bases bringing forth tides of foes. Hero is a nice add on too. Pay $10 so I can play a cool character. After work I check out the reviews, most of the negative reviews are about the pay to win feature. Keep playing any ways, one rando had a level 5 knight. I wanted a level 5 character too, spend $20 on impulse. ♥♥♥♥ they tricked me. Instantly regret my decision and uninstall the game. Don't do what I did. Either avoid this game unless you're masochistic or rich.
TA
Arena Stars is another Pay To Win lane pusher similar to Clash Royale or Summoner Wars. You have a Hero, a deck of creatures to summon and mana points. Every second you gain 1 mana point. Use mana to summon creatures from your portal. If your portal is destroyed, you can't summon creatures. The objective is to kill the enemy hero 3x, whilst keeping yours alive. Gameplay-wise, summon creatures with 123, use abilities with QWE, mouse to move, summon and use abilities. Outside of game, you still have to grind to earn more cards to upgrade your cards. Each upgrade gives approximately +7% stat points to the unit you upgraded E.g. Archer attack +2 to 32 attack. Upgrading costs grow exponentially more expensive. E.g. 1 card for L1, 4 cards for L2, 8 cards for L3, 20 cards for L4. The games I played were 100% bots and used the exact same strategy every round, rush me with 1 hero. The developers didn't even bother to mix up their bot scripts. Conclusion, skip Arena Stars. It's a P2W fest to make you pay for gold, shards, keys and rare cards. Note: Tiny Titans is a games developer is Ontario, Canda. In 2014, game industry veteran Jeff Evans founded Tiny Titanr. Dash Quest, released in October 2015. Tap Smiths, released in July 2016, further cemented the studio's success and helped fund a move to an office location in downtown London, Ontario. The studio would finish out 2016 with the launch of its popular train simulator, Tiny Rails, expanding the company's portfolio to an even greater degree.
PROS
1. Nice Art The characters are nice.
CONS
1. Pay To Win It's their main draw. 2. No Players In Multiplayer, Just Bots Yup, it's just bots with real lousy scripts. 3. Very Boring Gameplay I used the exact same strategy each time to cheese the game.
