Arena Stars has all of the features that I could ever want on my PC, also known as my personal cell phone. It got the 'pay to win', 'wait to play', subscriptions, spamming the 'buy button', and gambling for 'rare' cards. This game is so good, it does not even want you to play it. You can max out on daily rewards under one hour. Not that spending money on this game would improve your experience, these games are designed to put you in a spending loop that never ends. I got matched for like 70 games against opponents with higher stats, creating a fun and enjoyable experience for one of the two players. What I see here is the economy that only works by taking advantage of kids and individuals with anxiety problems. Now I could go and say that somewhere underneath this junk is a nice game, but frankly I would rather support someone who has respect for his player base.
I've had a lot of fun playing this free to play game early access and now on launch. It's exciting to see the game progressing every time I log in, adding new features and improving existing ones. Since this game is free I would recommend everyone to check it out and see if it's the type of game that floats your boat. Also the devs are absolutely first class! #notasponsoredmessage

So good! So glad its finally out on steam! Have been playing the mobile version for quite some time now. It's an awesome game! Really good mixture of strategy and intense battles. The large variety of troops/cards and Heroes make for a bunch of different combinations. Can add and challenge friends that are on mobile, as well which is really great! Such a wicked art style too - a mixture of cartoony characters with detailed textures really work well together. Absolutely recommend this game!
I've been having a great time watching streamers play this, and even challenging them to matches - even though my win record against them isn't so hot. The game plays like a mix of MOBAs and Clash Royale. You have direct control over a single Hero with different skills and build a team of cards to play as support. There's a lot of strategy involved in not only the cards you pick for your deck, but also the order you sort them in. It's a F2P game so there's purchasable items and currency, but don't let that fool you. Skill trumps all. I've seen some complaints about getting overmatched but I'm still dropping games against players a couple levels below me. The crossplatform play with mobile is legitimately cool and hopefully there will be some account linking. Curious about how mobile vs Steam will shape up or if there's a distinct advantage to mouse/keyboard or touch controls.
What a great game really enjoying it The devs are very hands on and are constantly on top of things through there discord and are very supportive to content creators also want to say unlike some free to play games that are heavy pay to win this one is not yes you can pay to aquire chest and such but u can buy as much as u want if u play a bad strategy dosnt matter how much you paid to get cards so you can compete with out having to pay to win

Great art, Top tier Audio, Compelling Gameplay. Arena stars is definitely a high end production. The game is centered around short, intense, but simple moba style matches in which you summon your own troops. The troops are generated using cards which are acquired by opening chests. The chests are either earned using in game currency or spending cold hard cash. In this regard it is a kin to something like Hearthstone. The quality of the package is definitely there, and since it is F2P anyone can give it a try!
It has been my type of game. PVP from the beginning with a character progression. Sadly, once your chest rewards have accumulated to 3 chests with no gems to unlock 1 chest, you can't collect anymore chest rewards. So, this becomes a thumbsdown for me.
I like the game, but I don't recommend it, and here is why: - Capped in-game currency. If you play it rarely, it shouldn't be a problem, but the fact that there is a cap is a minus for me, it's not rewarding if you want to play it for long. - EXTREME balance issues. Some cards are utterly ridiculous in terms of power. Miss Tea(one of the game Heroes) does to much compared to other characters. - The typical nature of this type of game, pay to win, although it isn't extreme. In my play time, I haven't once been beat due to the other person having overpowered cards. - Rare Hero Cards. Having Hero Cards is essential to upgrade your hero, I have 2 heroes in 5 hours of gameplay, one of which is the starter, and the other from the "Tutorial"(I think). What I kinda like: - UI is intuitive. - Gameplay can be fun. Since winning and losing isn't only based on cards played, but also how you manage your hero. The fact that you can have several playstyles is cool too. You can rush the other player HP, you can blow up the Engine as fast as possible, making the enemy player unable to play cards. - Even for a P2W game, players are decently rewarded. EDIT: I abbandoned this game. Everytime a new update comes along, my game crashes on launch. Balance changes are done to try to hide the clear lack of game balance, since most changes haven't changed anything about the game(certain characters/cards got nerfed but are still overpowered). Winning and losing at higher ranks is useless, since you gain extremely low amounts of trophies when you win, and lose extremely low amounts when you lose. I can't keep playing a game that is this inconsistent.
