Arcane Investigations

[h3]Cute & Cozy Choo-Choo Caper[/h3] A fun, bite-sized mystery adventure, well worth the price of of a ticket. It's a short trip, but it it maintains a good pace and is enjoyable the entire time through. The mystery is just difficult enough to get you thinking without you banging your head against the wall. It wears its inspiration proudly on it lapel (much like an attorney badge.) Even when I thought I had solved some stuff early, I was still surprised by later revelations. The length means it doesn't have too much time to delve into all of the characters, but you're able to spend additional time with characters who interest you, which is a fun touch. There are also lots of little hints at a much larger world and magic system that will leave you interested in learning more about the setting. Highly recommend checking the game out or gifting it to any of your mystery-loving friends!

The story is fantastic, and I loved the way the game captured the feel of Ace Attorney, while still feeling very unique. Unfortunately this game is only a single case, and I beat it in less than an hour and a half. Overall I'm glad I checked this game out, but it left me wanting more

Yet another case of 'I wish we could give neutral reviews'. The writing is great, and it definitely hits that Ace Attorney feel. Unfortunately, this is far too short. I was hoping for a few cases - even a second case would have been nice - but we get one 'tutorial' case and then that is it. I would hope that they are going to write more cases in the future so we can get a meal rather than just a taste. As it stands, I can't recommend this as it feels more like a demo rather than a full game.

I enjoyed this short game. It had elements that were taken directly from Ace Attorney as well as other inspirations. The characters are nice and the interface was user friendly. The game is linear besides small branch dialogues that don't change the story. I felt the climax was rushed and I wish it was more conclusive; it seemed like a part 1 with an ending that should've ended with "to be continued".

Ein cutes kurzes Spiel mit sympathischen Charakteren. Die Rätsel waren nicht übermäßig schwer, aber das hat dem Spaß keinen Abbruch getan. Zircon war so ausdrucksstark!

I enjoyed the short gameplay. And if there is more in the future with BOB or "Bart" tehehehe, I would totally love to go against him again! Loved the artwork, how the detective work was done, the personality of the characters, and thanks for the multiple save slots we can have to always go back and check out different scenes without restarting over!
