if you love defender and you love kitties.. then you will love this game.
Fun and challenging.
This is a simple but competently made shmup, and at under $10 it's definitely offered at a fair price. It has a good variety of enemies, a cute and unusual framing, and pretty responsive controls. As far as gameplay goes, it's a fairly typical shmup but is focused around defending "milk miners". Less irritating than your typical escort mission, the miners don't actually take any damage, but instead are kidnapped by a specific enemy type that show up clearly on the mini-map. To help with the defense, there's also a control to flip your sub/ship left to right, changing both your mobility and firing arc. The edges of the map also wrap around, Asteroids style. With a couple dozen stages, two difficulties, and an arcade mode, this game has a solid variety for its pricetag. Fully recommended if you're looking for a cute and decently challenging shmup.
fun & challenging the artwork, powerups, and controls are all top notch 👍
It has a nice style, but I was not a fan of the gameplay loop. It's just not satisfying to me to run aroudn the map and defend the helpless miners.
I love this game. There is a sequel that exists, Astro Aqua Kitty, that is completely different. That one is a level based side scrolling shooter. This one is arcade style. The premise is that a sapient race of cats on a far away planet mines for milk. Yeah, they don't farm cows or what have you, they mine it. From the bottom of the ocean. How? Don't ask. The actual game is really fun though as you shoot down waves and waves of enemies trying to protect your adorable little miner cats from being abducted. It has 3 difficulty modes, Easy, Normal, and Arcade, which get progressively harder, Arcade being the hardest. There is also an endless mode. I know I only put in an hour so far, but its really fun. The downside though, while this seems like the perfect game to play on the steam deck, it actually does not work at all on the steam deck. If I want to play it on the deck, I have to actually stream it from my main PC. Luckily my home network is pretty fast cause lag can kill an action game like this.
Çok eğlenceli indirimde kaçırmayın.
Solid classic arcade wave-style shooter with a fun, cute theme, weirdly gorgeous artwork, and more of a story than these things usually ever get. Can be a bit frustrating at times but you can always play on Easy if that is not your jam. Fantastic little game. The soundtrack alone is worth the cost of admission. <3
