123이랑 같은 회사가 만든게 맞나싶을정도로 재미가 없다... 4도 영 별로다 싶었는데, 지금 5-2 진행하는데 웃기지도 않는 억지설정도 난무하고, 대화중 나오는 드립도 ㅈ도 재미도 없는데 스토리 맥락은 따박따박 끊어먹고 결말이 딱히 궁금하지도 않음; 123이랑 어떻게 이렇게 차이가 나지...? 123수준을 기대하고 있는 사람한테는 절대절대 비추임, 그냥 개똥이라고 생각하고 기대치를 극한으로 낮추셈

OBJECTION! …to sleeping on the Apollo era. This is peak “Ace Attorney but make it generational drama” right here. Getting to play through Apollo Justice + Dual Destinies + Spirit of Justice back-to-back is such a good ride — you start with a rookie lawyer trying to figure out why Phoenix Wright is suddenly a suspicious hobo dad, and you end with your whole law firm overthrowing an entire kingdom’s justice system between trials. Beautiful. You don’t just get Phoenix this time — you get a full chaos law office: Apollo with his truth bracelet and arm day, Trucy doing magic instead of research, Athena yelling at people’s emotions, and Phoenix in Mentally Tired Father Mode playing 4D chess in the background. The writing is still witty, the animations still slap, and the courtroom meltdowns are as dramatic as ever. What to expect: • 🧠 Solving cases with logic, lies, and the occasional psychology gadget • 🎩 Witnesses who are either extremely shady, extremely theatrical, or both • 🎶 A soundtrack that goes harder than any visual novel needs to • 👉 Even more dramatic desk slams and pointing (Apollo does NOT play) • ✨ Three ways to be over-the-top in court: Perceive, Mood Matrix, and yelling at a séance • 😭 Unexpected feelings about found family, adopted magician daughters, and kids fixing the legal system The updated look is super clean on PC, the Steam version runs smooth, and it’s just nice having all three of these in one place instead of split across old handhelds. And the fact that you actually see Apollo grow across the trilogy? That alone makes it worth it. The localization keeps that classic AA “we are being funny but also heartfelt” energy, and the twists still land. If you’re an Ace Attorney fan, this is an easy pick-up. If you’re new, it’s still a wild anime courtroom soap opera full of “Aha!” moments, lovable weirdos, and prosecutors who take their aesthetic way too seriously. Verdict: Guilty of being dramatically awesome. 10/10 – would accuse a witness again based solely on a bracelet twitch and a suspicious bowl of noodles.

As long as you go into this knowing this game isn't nearly as good as the original trilogy, it's still really entertaining.

As at writing this I finished Ace Attorney Apollo Justice (AA4) and was midway through AA Dual Destinies (AA5) so take what I say with a grain of salt. I adore AA4, I played the original AA trilogy a while ago now but I still felt like I was playing an original trilogy game. AA4's writing/translation is so phenominal, its consise yet knows when to take breaks to be funny, it's very easy to read and sit through 5/6 hour long reading sessions. The cases are intruiging, while 4-3 is probably the 3rd worst case in the series (im looking at you flying bust...), its still only like a 4/10, but its totally made up for with a banging intro in case 4-1, a really solid standalone case in 4-2 and a crazy good 4-4, what an amazing case. This trilogy is worth buying for the first game alone I feel, and unfortunately that's all I'll probably finish from the series. While I loved AA4, i despised AA5, again I only made it midway through 5-2, but i was having such an unpleasent time i had to leave my time with the game there and cut my losses. Why is AA5 bad? For me, its purely and simply down to the writing, I dont care about the 3D models looking bad or annoying characters (of which the series has had many before AA5), i dropped the game soley for the writing. It feels like in AA5, it takes double the wordcount to reach the same point AA4 would have reached, its bloated, feels slow and with little payoff. I'm also definetly biased as I think 5-1 is the worst case in the series, I've never felt so bored with a case than I have with 5-1 it was so bad. Then after that, im hopeful 5-2 will hook me in, and then right off the bad they show who the killer is??? I mean why I just really really dont like that it takes a lot of the fun I have in the courtroom sections away, sure you can almost always guess who it is, but sometimes you can't so I think it's lame to reveal it. Also as for the character writing, AA4 had me laughing out loud at times, character writing could be so charismatic and witty. I'm totally serious that there wasnt a single moment in the little time I played AA5 I even smiled from a character joke, its just super dissapointing. Overall buy the trilogy for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney that game is so fire. Try Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies and see if you can sit through the writing but don't hold your breath if your not pulling your hair out by the end of 5-1.
