About

ANTONBLAST is a fast-paced explosive action platformer that's all about destruction. Play as the enraged Dynamite Anton (or his cranked-out coworker Annie) and use your Mighty F’n Hammer to demolish bizarre worlds, tussle with screen-filling bosses, and steal your Spirits back from Satan!

That's right: Satan himself has stolen Anton's prized Spirit collection, and he'll stop at nothing to get it back. Of course, you have to help him.

Thankfully, the local disgraced casino owner, Brulo, has his own beef with Satan, and he's willing to put aside his differences with Anton to make that devil pay.

Your mission in every level is simple: SET Brulo's Detonators, FIND Anton's Spirit, and ESCAPE before Happy Hour ends!
BLAST through a unique powertrip of a platformer!
INDULGE in an urban graffiti-inspired art style!
DEMOLISH massive destructible environments!
BATTLE brutal, earthshaking bosses!
EXPERIMENT with a totally dynamic playstyle; rush through for the best time or explore at your own pace!

feels clunky often, but still a good game.
Game good
Il diavolo ha un gyat incredibile
I enjoyed it, though it didn't quite blow me away. Visually, it reminded me a bit of Crash Bandicoot, and at times, somme old creepy Cartoon Network shows (probably because of the bad guy's looks and butt lol) which, I admit, is something I like a bit less, but the end result is a cohesive look that’s quite pleasing to the eye. The Crash Bandicoot influence extends to the audio, alongside echoes of Wario Land 4 (in the sound effects, music, and gameplay). That said, there’s a lot going on onscreen; even though you can tweak certain settings, I still struggled with the visual clutter. Perhaps I’m just not a fan of modern games where the whole screen seems to be exploding with activity. On the other hand, contrary to what I’ve read elsewhere, I found the gameplay felt quite Sonic-like at times. I also had a bit of trouble with the alternate paths (needed for 100% completion) that I’d miss early on, forcing me to replay the entire level... These sections require slowing down and playing with finesse, which isn't exactly intuitive. To me, the "fast-paced action platformer" style doesn't always mesh well with moments demanding such precision. It’s the same kind of frustration as the gem quests in Crash Bandicoot 2, where you reach the end of a level only to realize you missed a crate needed to unlock a diamond. I’m not a fan of that mechanic; I find it distracting and rather annoying. The same goes for the various items you pick up here and there without really knowing why or how. It’s not really my cup of tea, but otherwise, it’s well-crafted and has plenty of nice touches. The art style is original, provided it clicks with you. It’s a pretty snappy and engaging experience. Even though I couldn't get past the fourth level, without really knowing why (wrong path, or who knows what else) and despite feeling like I could have gone further, the game just didn't really hook me. But that’s just my subjective opinion, and I’d completely understand if others disagreed. I’d still recommend it, though; you can tell the devs put their hearts into capturing the feel of the games that inspired them, and overall, it was a fun experience. Personally, however, I don't see myself finishing it.
TL:DR; Take the Cow & Chicken/Ed, Edd n' Eddy era of Cartoon Network, take it up exactly one age rating, blend it with Wario, and you get Antonblast! Slightly worse than pizza tower mechanically, still a good game. A perfect accompanying game to Pizza Tower, Antonblast is a platformer all about breaking through the level as quickly as possible, front to back then back to front. It's sense of style and humour is on point and reminds me of my favourite weird cartoons of yesteryear, I wish more games still had the desire to be this distinct and flavourful. about my only complaints are learning the controls can be a bit fiddly as a keyboard player and I think some of them could be re-done to be more context sensitive so there's less to keep track of as you learn, and that the 3 life system is kind of pointless these days. If you're doing well, you won't lose any and notice the system and if you're doing badly with hazards then you just get set back an arbitrary number of minutes. I think flat score reductions would be better to keep the flow going- like Pizza Tower. So, the Pizza-elephant in the room. AB came out about a year after PT, and I don't think they're trying to copy them. They both clearly where inspired by the old fast-paced Wario games and a certain era of punk-adjacent animation and cartoons, and took their games in slightly different directions. PT has AB beat unfortunately in terms of mechanical elegance where you are given the tools to keep your flow (and play) going much easier without actually lowering the difficulty. Also, the bosses are well animated and all but they don't have much in common with the normal gameplay. I think they're supposed to be novel breaks from it, but they end up just being short frustrating roadblocks that you die to about a thousand times before you figure out the exact method to beat them. It's a good game and a very good entry in the dash-n-break platformer Wario-like game genre with oodles of flavour, I just wish it was a tad more mechanically elegant like its pizza peer.
When i purchased this game i was not expecting puzzles. In level 11 if i'm not mistaken there is a puzzle that is straight up confusing and got me stuck, now i cannot go any further thanks to it
Great game. Still stuck on the second level tho.
