Early impressions review. First off the game looks beautiful, varied stages and lots of tracks. Great variation in terrain during stages, a visual delight. The game whips by at an impressive pace. The gameplay is simple enough with depth and control to make things interesting whilst still be controllable. I must admit to having kept to the time trial -pure- mode where i simply race the clock, reason for this is the AI bots are absolutely brutally difficult and they outpace me on easy by a long long way. Its definitely a case of a 'get good' situation but it seems one small error on the track is game over. Whilst i am only playing time trial i am finding the track designs to be fantastic, fast, twisty turney varied layouts and routes, lots of scope to improve times. This is where i am finding the joy in the game, hopefully once i get decent enough times i will be able to compete in the campaign. As it stands its a brilliant arcade racer with a decent amount of content, i bought this on sale for a few quid and i can easily recommend it, just be prepared for the difficulty.
Challenging! Playing versus, I forgot to play the campaign. Just getting to the upgrades LOL! Good Game!
Macht Sinn. Was keinen Sinn macht: Man hört den Audio-Hinweis, doch man bekommt nichts.
Game SUCKS! I go to BED!
This game wants so badly to be something good, something memorable, to stand out among other anti-grav racers of its 'time', but it has to compete with Redout, and Redout does it faster, better, more intense than any racer like this could manage. I see great potential, but all this really is, is an abandoned, unmaintained husk of a racer that could have been really great. Handling is godawful even with upgrades, slamming into walls is a far-too-common occurance even when braking, and you can barely see the track ahead of you at times to prepare any kind of turn or maneuver otherwise. Good luck catching up with the AI, even with the 'traps' that kind of randomly just Happen (patent pending) on each track, sometimes pressing the button to trigger them isn't even enough and won't activate jack ♥♥♥♥♥. If you manage to avoid traps, turn perfectly, and regularly grab pickups, the AI will just magically be Just Fast Enough to keep you in the place you're in with no chance of recourse. Robots don't ♥♥♥♥ up in this game. You do. They don't care. You have to. I want to like this game, but the music is the same 15-second SNES loop blippy boopy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ any other racer could afford, the visual style isn't anything striking, and the gameplay makes me want to play an entirely different genre of game. Save your money.
Jogo roda bem no Linux utilizando o SteamPlay (Proton 8.0-2)
Besser als Wipeout I+II
A fun arcade pod racer
