I've played this game on and off since it's global release and I've got complicated feelings about it. Every time I'd drop it midway through the 1.0 story, but every time I'd come back a year or so later and start the story all over again, something about it kept itself lodged in my brain. I think this is my, 5th or 6th account and I think I finally get it. This time, I've completed the main story (1.0) and the 'Ogre Wars' (1.5), Now I'm doing some side content before jumping into the next arc. The game and a lot of the stories in this game are good. However it would be a significantly better game without the gacha, While I think that can be said about most Gacha games with Another Eden it's especially egregious. First, The gacha system compared to its peers is archaic. No 50/50, No pity it's awful, they introduced tickets to guarantee you a 5* after a certain amount of summons however it doesn't have increased odds so no amount of money or summons gets you a 100% chance for the character you want. Secondly, you can complete the 1.0 story incredibly easy since they buffed the main story characters to keep up with the games powercreep, however while initially you'll breeze through the game you'll hit a point in the 1.5 story where enemies can't kill you since your healers have strong sustain but you also won't do very much damage even with what would be good gear to have at your level. Then within a chapter or two they'll out level you, and if you get unlucky you'll get team wiped by mobs if two of them out speed you and use AOE moves It's very frustrating. All of that can be solved by using the gacha or getting the much more powerful free characters from side stories/cross over events. Now call me crazy but in a JRPG I feel you should be able to beat the main story with your core, main cast of characters without needing to recruit Joker and Morgana from Persona 5 to have a fighting chance against mobs. (If you did grab them they'd actually powercreep your team and the enemies quite significantly so you'd return back to all the fights being a breeze) I managed to complete all of 1.5 with just the story characters but it actively soured my experience with the game since it was an uphill battle all the way through and not in a fun challenging way, it was luck and in the final bosses case a few revives to beat them. Thirdly, the steam version is inferior to the mobile version, pretty much all the negative reviews are about the fact every update you have to reinstall the whole game, and how agonizingly slow it is. If you have something else to do it's fine but if you want to play the game and you can't because you've gotta wait at least half an hour that dries up interest pretty quickly. Games been out on steam for 5 years at this point and they've decided to not do anything about it. Despite my negative review and criticism I really like this game, I plan to keep it one of my main games since there is so much content to get through and I'm enjoying it. However if you want to play it I'd wait for 'Another Eden Begins' which I believe is the 1.0 story without the gacha and instead a typical JRPG, not sure if they'll include the 1.0 side stories but that releases surprisingly soon, 4 months from now.

I like the story, gameplay, & system. But i hate there is no auto-battle in here.
PC Port has improved a lot compared back then. The only issue I have left is playing between mobile and PC. Playing on mobile after using PC has no problem. However, everytime you get back to PC, it will occur to download transfer data again which takes 5-10mins. On the bright side, the crashes and lags have not occured for me even playing for long hours This game has been my favorite gacha game since its release. Though it has gacha, everything can be completed as F2P even superbosses. When I say F2P, I mean using just the free characters themselves. The gameplay feels like a classic JRPG which takes you way back to the 90s and early 00's., this is given that the creator himself made Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. The story is excellent even for a gacha game. Aside from the main story, there are a bunch of side stories and character stories. The soundtrack all throughout the game is topnotch. This game deserves more recognition for how they develop the game and care for their community. *If you did not get the 5star character you want, but managed to get their 4star version, you can upgrade them to 5star with grind and patience. This includes their different versions
I've been playing AE for several years now and I still haven't caught up on all the things there are to do, and each expansion adds more depth and colour to the enormous world of the story. I particularly love how all the characters' stories (both free and summonable) frequently connect, and how they're brought back with upgrades whenever new content comes out where they would logically be present story-wise (ie, if a new story is set in the area they're from). While summoned characters make a lot of content easier, it's entirely possible to play through the entire main story with just the free ones, and there are players out there who take it as a challenge to clear harder optional content with just them as well, and as far as I know they always manage it eventually. Summoning is therefore fun but essentially optional, and the game is truly effectively F2P. Another favourite thing for me is the music: it's absolutely beautiful, and at this point there are literally hundreds of tracks. I listen to the soundtrack on its own all the time because it's just that good. The translations are also pretty much always at least solid, occasionally inspired (some of the funnier character quests can be spectacular), and they continued to improve as new content came out, so at this point they're excellent. I will note that it while it can be VERY grindy, it's not worse than other continuing RPGs, none of it is ever time-limited, and it's generally the kind of grinding I personally enjoy and find calming. The battle system is easy to learn and hard to master, making challenge fights very satisfying. My biggest current gripes are a) the inventory UI BADLY needs an overhaul, and b) due to the sheer amount and complexity of content and insufficiency of in-game guides and tracking, you really can't avoid leaning heavily on the fandom wiki to figure out many boss fights and complete quests without obvious next steps. Thankfully, they're already working on those, and things are improving with each update. Also of note: the phone version is still superior to the PC version, because the controls are more unified and you can watch ads to get a not-insignificant amount of summoning currency each day, but as far as I've found it is in fact 100% playable on PC. (I have two accounts, one on my phone and one on Steam, so I can compare directly.) All told, it's one of my favourite games of all time and I heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a great mobile RPG that's single-player, story-heavy, and has a truly astonishing amount of very varied content to enjoy.
Jogo fecha quando coloco minha conta.
It's pretty good. I'd argue that it's somewhat revelutionary but it's basically like Final Fantasy. The Old ones. It has some bits of voice acting here and there but it's not a constant or consistant. Also almost all the collab characters have Japanese Voicelines even if you have all the other voice lines in english. Also be aware that the grind is REAL. The shops won't let you buy anything unless you get the materials for it so yeah enjoy that. The story is pretty alright, typical "World's gonna end unless you do something"

Good game, it's a good game in itself BUT, a big BUT, impossible to play it. For some reason I can't figure out, downloading takes 10 years, never seen anything like it. I have fiber optic internet and yet for one reason or another it takes 3 hours (literally) to install the game within the game, because yes, since we're on mobile you have to re-download the game to get the necessary data. And it's not new, it's always been like this but they do nothing, absolutely nothing! The worst part is that on PC, every single update requires you to re-download everything, so for a minor update you have to reinstall 2.2 GB of data. But these incompetents won't do anything to change it, so even though it pains me to say it, do NOT install this game. It's good, but not good enough for me to wait 3 hours every day just to be able to play it.
