Anger Foot

Anger foot is a boomer shooter and its a pretty decent one at that. It foregoes the more linear level structure of other games in the genre for much shorter and contained levels. The gunplay is decent, the world obviously doesn't take itself seriously but its still decently interesting to explore and interact with and the shoes you unlock spice up the game just enough to where it mostly stays fresh. That being said, it also has its fair share of flaws. The performance sucks. 1% low spikes constantly the moment anything explodes, when several enemies are on screen or if you just go too fast and it makes the game not feel as smooth as others in the genre. Lowering the settings besides textures does improve it ever so slightly but its still very much unstable all throughout. It seems to just be a game issue of some kind as its something many people complain about. The game loop, while fun, really felt like it was dragging by the end. I 100% the game in just 11 hours, but it still felt like it was overstaying its welcome just a tad at certain points. The shoes, while each having a unique effect, it doesn't really matter since everyone is using the charge shoes (the first boss shoes you unlock), they are straight up the best bar none and besides them, another 4-5 are very good too and everything else is just extremely situational to straight up bad, besides just using them to have some fun. Its not overly challenging, however there are 5 out of the 120 actual challenges (excluding the complete level ones) that are so much harder than the rest that I want to have a one on one talk with the devs to ask them what sort of narcotics they took to come up with them. There are MANY bugs, I kept encountering them constantly, from small to large all in all, I expected a tad more polish if I am being honest. On the topic of polish, I feel that the later levels lack a bit of the oompf of the earlier ones, it feels like the devs were chugging along to the finish line the same way you do. Overall, its a solid game and a decent boomer shooter, 100% get it on sale if you like games like it, otherwise, I find its 20 euro asking price to be a bit steep, however you do get a decent bit of content so its up to you if you should wait or not.
