A dystopian simulator where your choices shape a decaying city. Join other players to protect the metropolis from ruin, hasten its downfall, or simply work in the factories. With no set goals or rules, every action has consequences in a world teetering on the brink.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Enter ANEURISM IV, a sprawling metropolis where the proletariat works without question and the air is thick with decay. As a Spirit—a spectral entity on the verge of becoming flesh and bone—you stand at a crossroads. The city is yours to influence, disrupt, or simply observe. With no set goals or rules, how you engage with this world is entirely up to you.
From the hardworking Prole to the affluent Banker, each fate offers unique abilities, challenges, and ways to interact with the city and its inhabitants. Your choice defines your journey:
Align with the Cortex to stabilize and protect the city.
Join the Scumbags or Zealots to spread the Rot and sow chaos.
Remain Neutral and immerse yourself in daily life, working in factories or exploring the city.
An ever-present threat, the Rot visibly alters the city as it spreads. Roles like Liquidators and Scumbags are pivotal in either containing or exploiting this menace. If left unchecked, the Rot will consume everything, leading to the city's demise.
ANEURISM IV is a sandbox simulator first and foremost. The city reacts dynamically to player actions:
Take Down the City: Collaborate with others to bring about the city's downfall and witness its reset.
Protect the City: Work to maintain order and keep the Rot at bay.
Live Your Life: Engage in everyday activities or carve out a unique path—it's your choice.
Survival depends on your willingness to work. Earn credits by taking on various jobs—labour in factories, manage resources as a Prole, or manipulate finances as a Banker. These credits are your lifeline, allowing you to purchase necessities from shops, trade for valuable goods, or invest in property.
In ANEURISM IV, there are no rules dictating your actions. Every decision you make impacts the city and its inhabitants. Will you bring stability or chaos? The choice is yours.
Total Freedom: No imposed objectives. Play your way.
Dynamic Consequences: Every action influences the world around you.
Multiplayer Interaction: Invite friends to join your world—collaborate, compete, or coexist.
Survival Mechanics: Manage your nourishment and sanity in an oppressive, ever-changing environment.

You'll get jumped trying to learn the game and get all your stuff stolen. Not worth it
devs got such a massive launch and just let it rot away to pursue another pump and dump indie game which won't nearly get the same attention A4 got. I haven't played since preview launch and it's clear to see how the devs just dgaf anymore.
Fun when it came out. That didn't last long. Now it's empty. No sense buying an online game with no players.

This game used to be kind of interesting in the beginning but has since fell off. lack of server moderation, cheaters, constant DDO's attacks and bugs have pretty much killed off the entire community, I came back after a good while when i got tired of the constant DDO's attacks only to find the game is now a shell of its former self. The remain player base seems to float around 40 to 60 players which is enough for a single server. but the gameplay itself is still boring and most of the time people are just standing around. Plus there seems to be another bug currently where player models are just standing around in the middle of the street so the game is still janky even after a year of development. If you looking for a good game to invest your time and money in, this is not it.
used to adore this game, dev is an idiot and the community huffs farts
Every time I open this game I remember the first time I played it. The whimsy and wonder I associated with Anuerism and its world. I felt like I could do anything, be anything I wanted to, but I haven't felt the same since then. Anuerism used to feel alive, and now it feels dead. All anyone does is be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to each other and if I'm being honest hopping on and playing anuerism at this point just makes me sad. It makes me sad that the potential this game had was lost. It just feels like a waste of my time as a player who plays cortex/banker. I'm constantly getting ratted out, karma killed, or gangbanged by proles and scum as banker. This game certainly had potential, the peak on steam charts shows over 1k players, but the playerbase dwindled down after the updates for that exact reason: its a waste of time. Especially the way the game is designed now. Maybe in some years I'll come back and things will be fixed but with the current state the game is in I don't have much hope. At the current state the game is in I wouldn't recommend buying it, playing it, or wasting your time. There are much better things to do than to live in Anuerism With that being said it hurts to leave a negative review. I loved this game and all the silly things that came with it, and yeah a large part of that was people being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to each other. I feel as though its reached a point where its unrecoverable. I want to be able to play anuerism again and make content off of it but I can't when Its just rat central. Why waste an hour or two grinding amns and doing wartime to become banker when I'm just going to get shot or stabbed by the first person I see after I switch? Why even waste my time writing this? To prevent people from making the same mistake. Don't play this game, you will probably regret it. 1/10 I hate that you guys ruined one of my favorite games (I wish they would remove scum from the game entirely)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game filled with neckbeards and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they should all kill themselves
The game started out great when i first played it. But now the Devs just do whatever with it and turn it into a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥. Its kinda sad seeing a game that i enjoyed playing with friends turn out so bad. Making Changes nobody wants doesnt make the game better and explains why the game is basically dead now, so i wouldnt recomend it in the current state, only when they release an update that actually improves the game for all fates.
The same bugs from version 1.0 still exist, while the constant gamebreaking hotfixes do little more than tweak numbers, and somehow make the game worse with every iteration. It’s impressive to miss the mark so many times consecutively. The game was better a year ago and has only gone downhill under these incompetent developers, it was always janky, but it used to be quite fun, now it's simply not fun due to awful "balance mechanics" such as the Karma system (hidden stat). It would genuinely be 100 times better if they had to wait three months between stealth patches. At this point, the developers themselves are the biggest threat to the game’s health.
Was a fun game during it's peak in 2025, but now with each update they seem to take things away. This, combined with the player count in a steady decline, it really is just a garrysmod darkrp server that you have to pay 9.99 for.
