Short and free backrooms story. I did enjoy it.

I just beat the game, its a super cool and trippy realistic backrooms game where you explore a bunch of different variations of level 0 through video tapes which play a cutscene before and after. Full of fun immersive gameplay, furniture, poltergiests, scary demons, blood rituals, hell backrooms and bacteria.
Deeply Dark: Found Footage is a psychological horror title developed and published by DALESI that embraces the growing popularity of Backrooms-inspired horror while presenting it through the lens of a recovered digital archive. Rather than framing itself as a traditional horror game, it creates the illusion that players have obtained access to a mysterious software package containing forbidden recordings and classified information. This unusual presentation immediately establishes an atmosphere of uncertainty and intrigue, encouraging players to approach the experience as if they are uncovering something they were never meant to see. The game's strongest quality is its commitment to immersive horror. The environments are designed to capture the unsettling feeling of endless, abandoned spaces that appear ordinary at first glance yet become increasingly disturbing the longer they are explored. Empty hallways, dimly lit rooms, and repetitive architecture combine to create a powerful sense of isolation. Instead of relying heavily on constant scares, the game focuses on psychological tension, allowing dread to build naturally as players move deeper into unfamiliar locations. The result is an experience that feels more oppressive than outright terrifying, which often proves more effective for long-term suspense. A significant portion of the game's appeal comes from its found-footage presentation. The visual style intentionally resembles recovered recordings, adding authenticity to the narrative and making the events feel more believable within the game's fictional framework. The grainy footage effects, limited perspective, and documentary-like approach help blur the line between game and story. This design choice enhances immersion and supports the central premise that the player is examining evidence from a place that should not exist. Gameplay itself remains relatively simple. Exploration serves as the primary activity, with players navigating environments, observing details, and gradually uncovering pieces of the mystery. There are no elaborate combat systems or deeply complex mechanics to distract from the atmosphere. While some players may find this minimalistic structure lacking in depth, it allows the horror elements to remain the central focus. The experience functions more like an interactive horror narrative than a conventional action-oriented game, making it particularly appealing to fans of atmospheric walking simulators and psychological thrillers. The narrative presentation deserves recognition for how it integrates internet horror culture into its storytelling. The game repeatedly suggests that the software contains dangerous or cursed content, reinforcing a sense of forbidden knowledge. These fictional warnings contribute to the overall unease and give the experience a creepypasta-inspired identity. By encouraging players to question the nature of what they are witnessing, the game generates tension through suggestion rather than direct exposition. This approach aligns well with the mystery surrounding the Backrooms concept and strengthens the overall atmosphere. From a technical and artistic standpoint, the environments succeed because of their mood rather than their complexity. The visuals may not push graphical boundaries, but they effectively convey loneliness and discomfort. Sound design plays an equally important role, using ambient noises, distant echoes, and long stretches of silence to heighten anxiety. Together, the audiovisual elements create a convincing sense of being trapped within an unfamiliar reality where danger could emerge at any moment. The game's limitations become more noticeable for players seeking extensive replay value or mechanically demanding gameplay. Its linear progression and emphasis on atmosphere mean that much of the impact comes from the first experience. Once the mysteries have been uncovered, there are fewer reasons to revisit the content. Nevertheless, the title understands its niche and delivers a focused horror experience that remains true to its vision from beginning to end. Overall, Deeply Dark: Found Footage is a well-executed atmospheric horror experience that successfully transforms internet-inspired lore into an interactive format. Its found-footage style, unsettling environments, and strong commitment to psychological tension help it stand out among similar indie horror releases. Although its minimalist gameplay and linear structure may not appeal to everyone, players who appreciate slow-burn horror, exploration-focused storytelling, and eerie mystery will likely find it a memorable journey into darkness.
