Stiff puzzle design. Surprisingly atomspheric, with sims-like blabber soundbytes for dialog, low poly but well crafted 3D models that are animated in a derpy but flavorful manner, good color palettes, nice in-game guidance from caveman tribesman who venerate you, Xbox360 pad works out of box. Possibility to set custom resolutions through file edition. No performance issues on Win1064bit Ryzen+Polaris. Difficulty seemed low to moderate which is a relaxing change of pace. Puzzles were cartoony and fun to solve without being too hard. Inventory system was well handled on the controller. There is a way to summon a map as well which was a nice touch. FILE EDITING FOR FULLSCREEN AND RESOLUTION Fullscreen note (Thanks for the Steam Guide for info) In Steam\steamapps\common\ancients of ooga\data\gameInstanceSetup.ini file set the resolution you want to use and change fullscreen=0 to 1. this game ffreaking rocks because you can eat nearly everything you come across. even fellow ooganis. you can commit cannibalism in this game and i find that beautiful. very fun, very addicting, this game made my childhood

My dad bought this game for me and my sister in early 2012, we played it for hours and it gave us many laughs because of how silly it was, 18.6 hours isn't much as ive spent 170 hours on fallout new vegas but still. if you have children, and you want them to play a game that's very childish yet great with many puzzles... GET THIS GAME!! This game has a big place in my heart! it will for them too.

This is a really fun puzzle platformer that has a oddworld vibe with the creatures being kinda ugly and the humour behind how not only they were enslaved, but also how to solve the many different puzzles in that game which often involve and revolve around stuffing people and items in their mouths. I was first inspired to try this out thanks to a review from TotalBiscuit (RIP) from his "WTF is...?" series as shown here: https://youtu.be/-DxQUlW-7Pw I really enjoyed this game myself and though it was short (being a puzzle game) it was still thoroughly enjoyable! Litterally spent an hour trying to swallow a bean. Both keyboard and controler controls were useless. for that, so I'm stuck on level 2.
