About
Plow, plant, water, and harvest as you build your ancient Egyptian farm from the ground up. Begin with nothing and unlock workshops, production buildings, and temples through your own hard work.
Ancient Farm Simulator is a hands-on farming simulator set in ancient Egypt. You start with empty land and basic tools, with no automation or shortcuts. Every field, building, and harvest is created by hand as you turn barren land into a working farm through planning, labor, and wise decisions.
Transform wild land into fertile fields, guiding your crops through every visible stage of growth. Water and fertilize at just the right moments to ensure a bountiful harvest. Wait too long, and your hard work will wither away. Here, farming rewards timing, strategy, and a proper understanding of the land. Pick up your tools and shape your destiny with your own hands.
Cultivate a wide variety of crops for food, crafting, and trade. Nurture fruit trees that demand patience but reward you with harvests season after season. Some plants, such as papyrus and sugar cane, thrive only by the water’s edge, challenging you to design your farm with care.
Tend herds of cows, sheep, pigs, and hens to supply your farm with food and valuable resources. Harness oxen to plow vast fields with greater speed. Collect materials, craft your own tools, and construct everything from humble barns to bustling workshops and kitchens. Unlock blueprints from traveling merchants to raise ever more impressive buildings, culminating in grand temples.
Turn raw harvests into valuable goods, prepare hearty meals, and trade your surplus to grow your farm piece by piece. Watch as your world transforms: fields flourish, new buildings rise, and your settlement comes alive under the Egyptian sun.

Its not that the game isn't fun or doesn't work, but at 12hrs in game play i'm already able to start building a Temple which is already the hardest / most expensive to get, other then the trader, you interact with no one, player or NPC. and your limited to your little spot on the river
Continuing to review indie games. I really want to like this game. Its still very early, and I don't know if I'd consider this a complete game yet. I mean technically it is I guess, kind of a solo Egyptian sim game. But there is very limited interaction with any other characters (basically just the boat people), no survival mechanic (doesn't have to have one but i feel like not having the option is a missed opportunity), just a free builder that you have to collect resources for. Not a lot of interaction with most of the things you build. The farming mechanic is a bit fast paced on time between waterings and keeping up with everything. I do really appreciate the attempt to make an immersive ancient Egypt game, I play senet, I enjoy middle eastern and Egyptian themed games and media. They really hit on some things like the three seasons of ancient Egypt but at the same time they really missed out with the fact that those seasons were based around the flood and recession of the Nile. They do effect crop growing but the river is static. Its kind of a realistic sim at times but then there are things that take you right out of the realism and I think that's why I'm going to have to not recommend it at this time. Maybe if it was in early access and a little cheaper, or just more fleshed out, and I think it has huge potential, but its just not there yet. New world crops in old world settings also really disturbs me- its a personal thing, but also if you are going for ancient Egypt don't add corn. I really want this game to succeed and hope I can update this review if the game grows, we need more middle eastern and Egyptian games that aren't based on terrorists or assassin's creed, ana baheb Umm al-dunya.
unsure if I review this game yet, i was so eager to play this I never looked to see if it would work with a controller at the moment it does not ,I am disabled and use a controller for my games .Well hopefully they will add a controller for us that can`t use keyboard
I do not recommend this game as is. It is important to read that first sentence carefully. I see that this game has a lot of potential, but as it is, the game is not what it claims to be. It is not, Casual. The hallmark of a casual game is the lack of time pressure. You can relax and do what you want at your own pace. This game is not that game, at the moment. If it were in EA, I'd give a simple suggestion to the developers that, if they were to implement it, would allow this game to be THAT game. This game needs a PAUSE function. By that, I mean a farther step down the time passage grade to 0x Speed. At 0x, this could be that casual game. I will explain. In this game, there are many aspects that are sped up to save you time. Building an entire home can take place in seconds if you happen to have all of the materials in your inventory. However, there is a ticking clock running during every action. A seven minute timer that passes a day (cycle) and moves on to the next one. At the start of the tutorial, this game IS casual because you don't have any responsibilities. It doesn't matter if you putter around for 2-3 game years gathering sticks. but, if you plant anything or have animals on your farm... that clock can kill them in minutes. When the game is fresh, you don't have anything to worry about. But imagine trying to harvest your crops from last season, clear out all of the refuse from their growth e.g. till the soil, plant the next season's crop, and water all of your animals in seven minutes of real time with no pause? Nope. I planted 20 trees that were supposed to be the same timing. As it turned out, they were scattered all over the season. (I did this before I became aware of the time crunch) The ability to sped up time when you have all of your chores done would be great. A blessing. But the game already has time sped up to where the day is gone in 7 minutes. That is faster than a Minecraft day which I've always disliked. If they installed a P"AUSE for the clock that let you get your chores done, at your own pace, and then you could let the time speed by when you had nothing but time to wait out... I'd give this game a 7 out of 10. It is beautiful and the music is very pleasant. Until I realized that I was racing against time... I was really enjoying it.
Neutral review really, but thumbs down because it's not the experience I was hoping to find: Basically cookie clicker in 3D. Can be fun (I've clicked a fair share of cookies too), but not what I'm looking for atm. Best of luck to the devs and I'll check again later!
Quality of live.
Ancient Farm is a relaxing simulation game where you build up your own ancient Egyptian farm from nothing. I think it’s great fun for anyone who enjoys sandbox and farming-style games. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, with soothing music and ambience that never distract from gameplay. It did feel a bit bright visually (though I didn’t adjust settings), and the controls were slightly clunky at times — but not bad enough to ruin the experience. Overall, it’s a chill, satisfying farming sim with a peaceful vibe.
