Ancestors Legacy is a squad-based real time strategy with a strong focus on tactics. Inspired by medieval European history, it brings to life four different nations and their conflicts, usually solved by war.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good RTS which leans towards RTT so more of tactical gameplay. Good campaigns so far (finished two of them so far). Mechanics are easy to learn there's a satisfaction when you can implement them correctly.
Its like AoE but on roids! The close up battles are fun to watch.
This is one of my favorite RTS games of all time the Ulf Iron beard campaign intro is one of my favorites I really want a second one, the multiplayer is dead sadly but that wont stop me from replaying campaigns or just jumping in to play solo skirmish vs bots.
Why not? Because every stupid melee combat (which is the main one here) between units lasts damn forever! Or maybe the eternity is shorter than this. Also your units become mostly unoperable when in battle, so when our unit fights one enemy unit and you want it to attack another one instead - no no no. The time of the combat between units is still the main reason I stopped playing this game as it was driving me crazy.
Its a pretty straight forward RTS game could it have more cinematics, features, buildings and units?Yes.Is it by any means bad?No Its a nice game to play kill time play historical battles.I dont get the bad comments its not a large studio and they did a pretty decent job imo.I prefer this that trying to put a lot of features and ending up with a overcompicated mechanics game with you trying to keep up.It is what made Frostpunk 2 a bad game they overcomplicated things. i would like to see another strategy game from this studio
Thanks to this game you can see how christianity treats nature (note the wooden church's proximity to the cut ancient tree) and learn the real reasons behind the crusades (a.k.a. conquests & genocides) – land grabs, that is. P.S. Probably not everyone knows, but there were way more than 3 or 4 crusades, and some of them were targeted at the Eastern European peoples – for instance, the so-called Northern Crusades. P.P.S. Just in case you weren't already aware of all those facts, though I hope you were...
For anyone wanting the quick summary: - Funny as a concept, not so funny excecution. Slow gameplay to the point you're probably missing AoE2 and at least having some functioning army and faster combat. 4/10 overall Now for the long story: As much as it pains me to say this, I can't recommend this game. I played through the first campaing and most missions felt the same: survive till you get to your max army and then try to slowly push through your enemies (which, by the way, outnumber you heavily to the point that sometimes it just feels unfair (and this is normal difficulty, can't imagine it on hard)) and try not to lose too many vet units or combat will be even worse. There's no reward for the player on planning an engagement. Only 4 unit types and 3 get mixed on the melee with little to none chance to move them around once engaged. Yes, there's flanking and some skills but compared to other games it sucks. Came back again after giving it a couple of years and played another campaing. On the first mission you're already given 3 objectives to push, they attack you one after another while you are given minimal forces and just your main building. Really? Not even some cache from the sidequest on the village you take before launching this? Or just let the mine, lumbermill and farm structures as some kind of prize (they're 30 wood in total, less than what one cache would give you). My dammed reward for clearing those locations was -wait for it- not having to clear them with AN ARMY, while before I had to do it with just one hero and an NPC which I didn't get to control either. Totally god tier level design there The only good aspect of the game were the visuals and the music, but for games like this I prefer to stick to company of heroes 2. At least there I have some tactical choices to make and not just get on a meat grinder that's slower than a slug.
проходил ласт миссию, итог- нервный срыв, шок, конвульсии, припадок. крутая игра рекомендую для потери нервов
