The high points of this experience are the visuals and the audio. Unfortunately, it's lacking in other aspects. Too much text that exposes the lore, with not so great environmental storytelling; junky inventory (no separation between what are notes, consumables or key items); sometimes buggy and non-threatening enemies. The lenght of the game is perfect tho.
WE MUST SUPPORT THESE CREATORS THEY PUT THE MOST BEUTIFUL AND CREEPY IMAGINATION I LOVE THAT GAME HAS GREAT STORY, JUMP SCARES,RUNNING,DONT THINK TOO MUCH BUY IT....ITS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GAMES...I WILL PLAY IT FOR SURE 2-3 ROUNDS AGAIN ALL THE HALL STORY...I RECOMMENDED WITH 100%
No matter what settings I pick, I only get 30fps. That's playable at least I guess, but just. The rest? Meh.... I hate writing bad reviews because I'm sure the sole developer put a lot of time into this, but, there are definitely better ways to waste your time.
If SCORN had been crafted for bibliophiles instead of nymphomaniacs with a pechant for body horror, I imagine it might have looked a little something like Amygdala. The influences are impossible to miss—echoes of Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth", John Carpenter's The Thing blend seamlessly with the unmistakable biomechanical and body horror night terrors of H.R. Giger and Cronenberg—but rather than feeling derivative, the game confidently weaves those inspirations into an identity of its own. What surprised me most was the production quality. The voice acting, writing, and world-building are all far stronger than I expected from such an overlooked title. Every crevice begs to be explored, every creature feels deliberately designed, and the world is rich with an eldritch atmosphere and threads intriguing lore and worldbuilding. The gameplay itself is decent (doesn't need to be more - this experience is more focused on atmosphere than gameplay), with basic exploration and puzzle mechanics, though it occasionally stumbles when it comes to communicating solutions. A bit more guidance would have gone a long way—I spent far too long stuck simply because the game expected me to use *right-click* rather than *left-click*, something it never clearly conveyed. Amygdala is a striking, imaginative experience with phenomenal creature design, memorable environments, and a fascinating new weird world that's well worth exploring. It's an easy recommendation for fans of dark fantasy, surreal horror, and atmospheric exploration.
The author's approach to the horror genre is very interesting. I liked the style and the voice acting. It definitely looks unusual.
The art style and atmosphere are honestly amazing. The environments look great and do a fantastic job of making you feel uneasy the whole time. The lighting and overall mood really sell the horror and keep you immersed from start to finish.
Great looking game, with game play that reminds me of a ps2 horror game.
cool
Very good game! Scary huge alien in the beginning.
