About
Amulet is an indie action game about weaving through danger and quietly growing stronger.
You don’t mash buttons. You don’t juggle hotkeys. You point the mouse to move, and your attack fires automatically.
The fun lives in the dance: thread slow enemy projectiles, kite smartly, and feel your power ramp up.
As you defeat foes, you gain XP and auto-upgrade. No build menus mid-run.
Mouse-only movement: just point where to go. Combat happens automatically.
Readable bullet-hell: enemies fire slow, legible projectiles—skill is in pathing and timing, not twitch spam.
Auto progression (no micromanage): XP → 15 concise levels; multiple stats improve each ding.
Minimal HUD, maximum clarity: only the essentials; no mid-run menus or ability bars.
Short, satisfying runs: jump in, dance through danger, feel the ramp.
Purity: remove anything that doesn’t make the core loop better.
Fairness: clear telegraphs, consistent rules, no cheap hits.
Feel: crunchy hits, juicy death animations, quick celebrations—then back to the action.
If you like games that are simple to play, hard to put down, Amulet aims right at that sweet spot: elegant input, readable challenge, and a steady sense of “I’m stronger than I was five minutes ago.”

Fun game... But I finished the first quest to kill the witch and it said demo completed. Now I know I only spend a dollar but I expected it to be the full game not a demo
Not my genre however I had a fun time with this little gem. My only gripes I have is the following: - Death seams almost pointless, there is no penalty for dying. so, what I ended up doing was luring enemies to a campfire. then keep attacking/dying until I killed them and got the loot. - The witch was super easy. I had 250 gold level gear. The gargoyles were much harder with the fire status effect on me. That aside well done! Quite enjoyed it for a genre I've never really played! Looking at other reviews the developer takes feedback well and I wish them nothing but the best going forward!
The mixed rating makes sense but is a travesty. This game is extremely refreshing and I wish every game made was able to get me to push through being kicked down like this; there was a moment where I was getting repeatedly killed by the saddam hussein meme, a dragon, a rat, and a goblin every time I came back to life at a campfire, yet, I wanted to keep playing because every aspect of it made sense and I had a plan on how I could overcome it. The only change I recommend is making the gems you pickup a different color than the mana potion; The only moment that felt unfair was me confusing them when I was out of potions as a mage, though its very inconsequential. I want to see the world of this game grow but I trust the developer will make good choices. I really hope more people play this game, its very charming; I wont be recommending this game yet, its not a full experience currently and if people go in expecting to have as good an experience as me they will be left disappointed. Lastly, I cant find anything about this game anywhere but steam. I saw someone claim it was mining crypto which I was worried about so, I tried looking for anything about flipside games online and couldn't. I want to see what happens to this game in the future, if anything does, and I can't see myself remembering it exists if it only exists on steam with no update notes. I think a social media account would be good advertisement, devlog, and way to keep people in the loop on something they're interested in.
Just played through this indie gem for the first time and gotta say I was quite pleased! I honestly think it should cost more considering the amount of effort and passion put into this that you can feel the entire way through. Ranging from the fun and addicting gameplay to the charming and well-done graphics, I can definitely see this game being a huge hit when it comes out of Early Access. Definitely a vibe to be had! Best $1 I've ever spent with nothing in-game showing it was half-arsed only adding to the immense amount of heart and passion that flows through this entire game! Cannot wait for what the developer has in store for future updates! For those into Diablo type gameplay or rpg elements definitely a 10/10 should give this game a go. :)
I get the feeling this game has been abandoned which is really disappointing as its actually a lot of fun. Its only a buck though so honestly its worth the money but the game only lasts about an hour. I think on my play through I took a bathroom break and got something to drink so take off about 5 minutes and that is roughly how long it will take you to beat it. There is a little bit of replay value but only because you can choose different weapons which affect the combat style that you use. But there is no procedural generation or different monsters you will encounter so when you beat it once that is about all you'll see. If the dev ever adds more content I feel like it would be great to come back to but that does not seem likely.
Visuals and style are great. It seems like a very charming world that deserves to be fleshed out. If you are after a completed game this is not for you. But if you want to try a hidden gem then look no further than amulet. In my opinion Power Strike does not seem impactful enough. Especially against stronger enemies. It and Quick Draw could maybe use a visual indicator? Maybe make it glow even just a little? Also trying to use Quick Draw without a bow makes interesting sounds and restricts movement. I also somehow found myself stuck moving against a wall in the witch's lair. I think I regained movement by right clicking to disrupt the animation. Balance seemed a bit off for me as well. Health and Strike gear seemed the way to go. I could not run magic or attack speed gear by themselves because I would die in 1 hit. Gargoyles were a pain no matter what I tried. Trying to change gear at the end to test the other classes sucked because you needed so much gold and would lose what you had previously saved up to purchase. I think it has great potential but can be frustrating at times. But maybe that is intentional.
The game is fine,it has about an hour of decent gameplay, you get tossed in the game without any real explanation of what to do or where to go(even tho there is a linear path to follow) sadly since it got updated there are no npcs and no quest lines, pretty good but constantly moving around and having no control over when you shoot is kinda of a bum, campfires no longer serve as a trading spot which was a pretty cool feature. The price is now almost 10 euro which is not so good cause it isnt worth THAT much, but still if you have 1 hour to kill and 10 euro its worth it.
