Best Horror Game ever - Finished it on Shellshock Difficulty right after my first playthrough
As I have now finished this game on Shell Shock difficulty, I can say that playing this game on normal with no prior knowledge is a lot harder than playing on Shell Shock with an understanding of the map and game mechanics. Figuring out what all the key items are and how to get them is one of the hardest parts of the game. Knowing what is and is not effected by RNG makes this game a lot easier. The map is not very big and easy to navigate in the dark once you familiarize yourself with it. If you are having difficulty I would recommend restarting on easy or very easy and to read the notes before looking up hints on the internet. Once you look behind the curtain and see how things work, you will have deprived yourself of figuring the game out yourself. Figuring out the mechanics is probably the best part of the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Genuinly best game series ive played
great underrated horror game, might be my fav horror game so far
很好的反战游戏
this game is actually good on hard it's clunky it's brutally greedy and above all very spooky but im giving this a bad review because (like other bad reviews) it runs like trash for some reason when i played this (cracked) there weren't any performance issues it ran at a stable 50 frames on medium 1080p after the shooting opening but now for some odd reason the game runs like ♥♥♥♥(it's not because of a virus) alien isolation which i think the game got inspired the most from has better performance on medium but it's very good on hard
Very scary
атмосфера кайфовая
Amnesia: The Bunker is a genius evolution of the Amnesia format that gives us something different that's really cool and fun while still feeling like Amnesia. It's definitely one of my favorite horror games. I typically don't enjoy horror games where you can't defend yourself as much as ones where you can, and this is a great mix of both. You can defend yourself, but you can't actually kill the one monster that follows you around, just make it retreat. But due to VERY limited ammo and it being tricky to time grenades you don't want to just go running around randomly thinking you can stop the beast easily if it appears. The beast's encounters are also not scripted outside of I think 2 instances? You're not gonna run into anything like that sewer area in Rebirth where it's basically just "hold w to not die". The beast also isn't predictable to the point of being entirely easy to avoid, especially on harder difficulties. The way it's AI operates is really cool. All of this preserves the helpless feeling typically present in Amnesia games, while evolving and giving you just enough defense options. This game is also kind of an immersive sim, which I love. There's a bunch of ways to go about certain things. If you're short on time and you need to get past a bunch of rats you could blow them up, lure them with meat, or burn the body they eat for a more permanent solution. Even if you don't have the lighter for that, you can instead use flares to light fuel puddles. I think you can also scare them away with torches but I never did that. Maybe I will in my Shell Shock playthrough idk. In the arsenal there are bunch of breakable shelves that either The Beast can break or I think can be broken by grenades? You can take the long and quiet way or be risky and just blow them up! As briefly mentioned before there's also a good amount of ways to stop the beast. You could shoot it, blow up explosive barrels or gas cans near it, use gas grenades, regular grenades, fire, you could throw something to try to get the beast to investigate away from you or you could intentionally trigger one of the many traps set up throughout the bunker while it's chasing you. You can also block it's tunnels temporarily with either explosive barrels/gas canisters or just normal barrels or big boxes. I also love how saving and resource management works in this game. On normal difficulty and above there is only one single save point in the bunker's safe room. On shell shock it even requires one fuel, something you also need to power the generator, which has the great trade off of the beast not appearing as much but having limited fuel and being required for certain objectives. (The fuel isn't actually very limited thanks to fuel storage and the wine cellar but I actually completely missed those areas in my first playthrough somehow) Fuel can also be used to make molotovs or can be splashed on the floor and lit up to burn things. Bottles can be used for molotovs or as distractions, cloth can be used to make both bandages and torches, there are a few tools in the game that unlock both required and non required areas but both make noise, grenades can be used to open doors but are guaranteed to summon The Beast. There's tons of little choices you have to make around stuff like that, and only one save point means you have to plan out every trip out of the safe room. I love stuff like that. I do have a few small negatives. It seems like the speedrun achievement might be a bit bugged. I got under 40 minutes by a few minutes and the achievement didn't pop. Could have been because I was playing a custom game but idk. I'll try again another time cause I doubt it's entirely broken. In the lower difficulties there are maybe a bit too many resources. I saved as much fuel as I could in my first playthrough and by the end I had enough to let the generator run for probably multiple hours. Like over 20 canisters of fuel. And I didn't even know you could use fuel bottles in the generator yet. I also had a massive pile of other stuff in my safe room. I think it would be nice to have just slightly less resources on normal difficulty, but I suppose with custom mode I can just do that myself, and on your first playthrough you might use up more resources than I did. Finally there's the story, which I did like, but I felt some parts of it were kinda underwhelming. Typically, Amnesia protagonists have forgotten something VERY important, and it tends to be something pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Spoilers for every Amnesia game:
Daniel assisted TDD's villain with his horrific experiments, the Machine for Pigs protagonist created the titular machine which happens to also be a doomsday device or something(idk I haven't played this one yet), and Tasi unknowingly doomed her expedition(thanks to the empress being a ♥♥♥♥♥) and then forgot that she was turning into a harvester. Henri comparatively has... not really that much to remember. Early on we hear about "this thing" Henri has done, something horrifying that makes him sick to his stomach and makes him feel extremely guilty. And we also get information that after drinking the water in that pit Augustin felt like he was stronger and with new purpose or something. So it's EXTREMELY obvious he's the monster, especially with another note saying they think they know "who" the monster was and no other notes from Augustin found anywhere in the bunker. It was really easy to figure out. So I thought the twist would be that somehow Henri knew that the water would do that to Augustin and did it anyway. Could have had something to do with the Roman Tunnels incident or something about the horrors of war driving him to want to punish everyone? Idk exactly, you'd need to rework a bit of the story for something like that to happen. But then it's revealed that all he did was send Augustin out on patrol by rigging a game of chance, to get back at him for a bunch of other pranks. It didn't bring down my experience really, but it did feel really lame, especially compared to some of the stuff the other protagonists forgot. It kinda robs the game of any really interesting late reveals, since The Beast being Augustin was incredibly obvious to me, even fairly early on.
Anyway, my issues with the game are very small and I'd highly recommend it. It's a really good horror immersive sim, so good that I had it free on Epic and decided to buy it here lol.
очень изобретательный хоррор. это не синематик, а в первую очередь ИГРА с МЕХАНИКАМИ. и при этом держит в диком напряжении и страхе, по крайней мере меня держала всё прохождение.
