⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⣷⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⣷⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⣷⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⣷⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿
a very good casual/platformer game. I recommend it. 50 good levels. some are hard. you need patience and training. 2 different endings. I also recommended to play with an controler. the price of this game is alright.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌❌❌❌ ____________________(6/10) ??? I’m not usually a fan of 2D games, but I decided to give this one a try — and I don’t regret it. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ The story is minimalistic yet atmospheric. The levels are fairly short, but each introduces its own mechanics, which keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯✦⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ The localization is solid: the text reads smoothly without feeling like a machine translation. Overall, I’m satisfied. It’s a small project that delivers genuinely pleasant emotions 🎮✨ ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌
This one feels like depression.
A good platformer, not a very hardcore level of difficulty. One of the features is the mechanics of switching between worlds, which you quickly get used to.
+Rep the hardest parkour
An Interesting Sci-Fi Idea That Never Fully Takes Shape
Alter World is an indie sci-fi action game that aims to blend shooting, exploration, and a mysterious futuristic setting into a compact experience. From the start, it’s clear the developers had ambition: strange environments, abstract storytelling, and a sense that the player is navigating a world that doesn’t fully explain itself. Unfortunately, while the concept is intriguing, the execution struggles to support those ideas. Gameplay revolves around basic movement, combat encounters, and navigating fairly open but sparsely populated environments. Shooting mechanics are functional but lack impact, weapons feel light, enemy reactions are limited, and combat rarely evolves beyond simple exchanges. Encounters tend to repeat, which reduces tension and makes progression feel routine rather than exciting. The game’s world design hints at something deeper. Environments suggest a larger narrative and a universe shaped by technology or catastrophe, but these ideas are rarely explored in meaningful ways. Story elements are vague and fragmented, leaving players to fill in the gaps themselves. While some will enjoy this ambiguity, others may feel the game never gives enough context to stay invested. Visually, Alter World is serviceable but dated. The sci-fi aesthetic works on a conceptual level, yet textures, models, and animations show clear limitations. Environments often feel empty, and the lack of visual variety makes areas blend together. Audio design supports the atmosphere with ambient sounds, but effects and music lack presence and memorability. Progression systems are minimal. There’s little sense of character growth or mechanical development, which weakens motivation to push forward. Without stronger upgrades, enemy variety, or narrative payoffs, the game relies heavily on curiosity alone to keep players engaged, and that curiosity doesn’t always last. In the end, Alter World feels like a project with solid ideas that needed more time, polish, and focus. It’s not outright broken or unenjoyable, but it struggles to stand out in a crowded genre. Players interested in experimental sci-fi indies may find moments to appreciate, while others will likely walk away feeling indifferent.
The Good:
- Intriguing sci-fi setting with hints of deeper lore. - Straightforward controls that are easy to learn. - Ambient tone that occasionally creates a sense of mystery.
The Bad:
- Shallow, repetitive combat with little feedback. - Sparse environments and limited visual variety. - Weak progression and unclear narrative direction.
