roll dice at the start of the fight to see who wins, then spend a few minutes playing it out. With initiative alternating every turn this could be a real game, but as it is the first player almost always wins
Im having a headache trying to understand this game. Like the other reviews say, if u win the coin toss to go "first", u win the game immediatly. Imagine it like any other card game, but every turn, you both attack. but if u attack first, you can kill a card, so your opponent cant attack back. So you both play a 1/1 creature, you attack first, so you kill your enemy creature, he cant attack cuz no creature left: board state is now: you have a 1/1 creature, he has nothing turn 2: you both play a 2/2, you kill his 2/2, (and hit his lifepoints with your 1/1): board state: you have a 1/1 and 2/2, he has nothing. turn 3: he plays a 3/3, you play nothing. you attack his 3/3 with your remaining 2 cards, and he cant attack again. you basically instawin if u win the coin-flip, unless theres a HUGE disbalance between decks. Granted, its a sp game. but there really shouldnt be a mechanic thats THIS huge based on luck.

At the beginning of each battle, a player is randomly chosen to go first. That player attacks first every single turn, so they inevitably win, since they can blow up the other player's cards before they get to do any damage. Basically, if you win the coin toss at the beginning of the game I don't see how you could lose unless you're trying to. This dynamic unfortunately makes the game have no strategic depth whatsoever.
The game is fundamentally flawed as others have pointed out. The coin toss inevitably decides the winner unless the AI severely messes up. Not sure the point of this "game", in it's current state. Even if that were fixed I'm not sure the game would be interesting. Every card is essentially the same.
I got surprised that this game is actually free, it is really nice and the soundtrack is really awesome! got almost 2 hours in but I'm still on the 2nd tier enemies, got a few new cards, will definitely continue to play it! You should definitely try it, it's free and is a really good game!
My Experience Although the "field card" aspect (which could make cards of a certain element more powerful) and the "magic" cards that were played in the corners (that often provided effects over a set number of turns) shook things up a little, I had difficulty getting very invested in the deck I was creating in this game. Most of the cards were simply copies of each other with higher or lower numbers, and I wasn't able to create much in the way of "combos" that were very exciting. As the developer himself says in the game description, it's a game more about "collecting swords and axes" [and less about building a deck]. Lastly, my opponents as I progressed through the campaign seemed quite similar, and most battles played out in almost the same way.
A nice deck building game with an interesting concept. I like it!
