Alltynex second feels a lot more fair than other bullet hells (probably due in fact that it was made for windows and not arcades) and subsequently feels very fun and engaging, quite possibly one of if not my favorite shmup

Aims for an epic, cinematic presentation but more often turns into a cluttered unintelligible mess. The vertizontal resolution doesn’t help; with all this space to fill, the game needs to throw more enemies, more bullets, more hazards and more benign junk in at all times. Enemies pan in and out, and if you hang around a fraction of a second too long, what looks like a background element becomes a collision death. Feels more like a job than a game trying to make sense of what’s going on here. Credit where it’s due: the giant orbital laser beam in stage 4 is cool as ♥♥♥♥.

what more can you ask from a game about a single ship going up against an entire army

bullet hell i used to play a lot of flash games that were like this it follows the same formula as the others so its good

It's a good shmup.

This is an absolute treat of a shoot-em-up. Its strong suit is its array of ways you can decimate your enemies and how seamlessly you can switch between your arsenal. Switching between lasers and devastating swords and shooting rockets to accumulate the most points possible is some of the most fun I've had in recent memory. This is an easy recommend.
