**POSSIBLE SPOILERS** If you're in search of a heavy story, I don't suggets this game. While the graphics and theme are very cool, I was very confused once the original ending came. Playing Mo's perspective gave a teensy bit more insight, but only of her demise, not anything about the initial car accident, how John was able to switch time zones, or where Charlotte went. There are quite a few gaps, and this story had a ton of potential, but ultimately I was left confused for a good chunk of the game.
TL;DR I recommend this game. I don't recall ever playing a game with the tags; indie, nonlinear, experimental, open world. I believe the devs did a good job on this game. Personal Experience The story sucked me in, I wanted to learn and read more about. While I have not fully explored the game, I did a basic run through to get a feel while streaming it. The stream enjoyed it along with me. While it starts out confusing, it is easy to piece together the puzzle. I kind of felt like a detective going through, trying to figure out what happened. I had some jaw dropping moments, some moments of shock and moments of awe. Pros to getting this game It should suck you in with its story. It is very basic and not too pricey. ($7.99) Should easily run on most computers. Cons to this game The only big issue I had was that there was no "options" when you would hit escape while in game. The mouse sensitivity was too high for me and I had to lower through myown system. Following the "dollar an hour" gameplay rule, I'm unsure if this game is worth 8 hours of gameplay, although I still enjoyed it. TO THE DEVS I believe you did a good job. It's a good game, very simple yet complex at the same time with it's story. You're not overcharging your customers on the price either. For any future games you may develop, please include an "options" menu where you can modify mouse sensitivity and audio. Otherwise I enjoyed it, and am looking forward to any other games you may publish.
Well, if you want to play a Black Mirror episode in video game / ARG form, this is the thing for you. It suffers from issues a lot of environmental storytelling has, which is: Is A true, or B true? WHAT HAPPENED? Oh, C happened instead. How about that. Negative points for tried tropes involving: chess, quantum, Schrodinger's Cat
Wow, beautiful poetry-coated walls and streaming ribbons of consciousness snaking through the hallways. Explore & sleuth this tangled mystery or just let yourself be swept along -- the game rewards either approach. Highly recommended!
ResidentSleeper This is the ultimate sleep walking simulator. I can enjoy a game that is 100% storyline and exploration, but after nearly 20 minutes of playing this game, I didn't feel any sense of desire to want to continue playing. The storyline is so vague and perhaps "deep" that I was left confused what the hell I was actually playing. Honestly, had I been tripping on shrooms, it may have been a fun ride.
Absolutely Highly Recommended... IF:

You have an OPEN mind
You go into this knowing it is an experience, not really a "game" like most would define "game"
you can deal with disturbing ideas, seeing the world as someone with a debilitating neurological condition (aka/mental illness0 might see it, every day
You aren't a pew-pew-pew-pew only kind of gamer, with extreme biases agaisnt anyone who is different than you.
Especially that last one. Worth Full Price. Absolutely. This is a truly mind-bending ride, and, not having a schizoaffective disorder myself, I have no way to know how accurate a depiction this is. But, this is a fictional story, seen from the POV of a person, or people dealing with amnesia, schizoaffective symptoms, and dissociative disorder(s), IMHO (professional) opinion. I used to be a psychologist. I treated patients with these disorders, and the depictions in the game ring somewhat true, from the often confusing descriptions they gave, about what their world looked and felt like. This is an INTENSE ride. It is not soft and fluffy. It does not have pew-pew-pew action. It is graphic, but not in a gory or bloody way, but it may be disturbing to more sensitive people. There is some artisitc nudity, and some suggested violence, and of course, depictions of a mind or minds shattered, and the almost prison-like stae they are trapped in, mentally and in the hospital depicted in the game. It is visually rich. The art is beautiful, if a bit "odd", and often *almost* painful to look at. So many small details that fill things in, missed if you rush thrugh and do not try to seek everything out. The music is quite fitting to the scenario(s), and fits the game wonderfully. It really creates and enhances the mood and experience. Yes, it is short. My 2 hours is for the main game, plus the back Story, and I do read at a high rate wpm, so the huge amount of text may take you longer, it may not. I have not yet gone into Mo's Universe, to roam freely, in the more open sandbox it promises, and will be doing that in the near future. Right now, i need to *recover* and think about what I just saw and experienced. I am not sure "enjoy" is the right word to use for how I felt when I finished. I am more curious now, more moved, slightly disturbed, and not regretting one second of any of it. I took away a great deal from this experience, and need to mull it over for a while. NOT a "game" for everyone. You don't have to be a super-genius. You do have to be willing to take the ride, and not pre-judge it based on what _you_think_it_should_be_ . You have to go with it, let it flow, and expect it to slap you in the face with a wet fish when you least expect it to.
If you have a closed mind, or extreme biases agianst people with mental illnesses and belief in the paranormal (not ghost hunting- but the classic definition: "denoting events or phenomena that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding".), you really should just click on the next store page and not touch this game. You won't like it, and it won't like you, in return.
My thoughts. Your Mileage May Vary. Widely.
Wow! Mouth open, "Wow." is quite literally all I could muster at the end. Quite the surprise is played on the player too, regarding how a major plot device is presented. I cannot say I understand this game completely, but was blown away with how it was portrayed, nonetheless. It was a visual feast, and very detailed if you take the time. I feel after playing that I've just watched the sure winner at the Independant Film Spirit Awards! It's that good. YES, I recommend it! I will definitely need to go back and play it again after a break.
I don't understand all these reviews. It seems people are "blown away" by the psychedelic visuals, which are striking initially, but it comes across as hollow; trippy for the sake of being trippy with no reason for the trippiness other than being seen as "trippy". Almost $10 for 1-2 hours of gameplay? There are much better games you can enjoy for much long at the same price. Don't waste your money on this non-sensical, non-game. Play Gone Home instead.
Great looking game. Was hooked by the wild story and that it all came together though the smallest of hints. Loved finding clues on basic stuff, calenders, stickies, taking my time with it all. The back and forward story menu option really helped bring it all together. Could have done with a flashlight option in the apartment and some of the writing took some time to work out. Loved the visuals, wanted more to open up in the Mo Universe section. The sound was good too. All up was a great play.
I thought for sure I would disagree with the negative reviews on this game, but sadly, I agree with them. It is not much of a game at all. It feels like it was just thrown together without any real story or gameplay. I think it had potential to be good, but it is not worth the time nor the money. By the way, I finished this game in like 10 minutes. Not cool for the price.
