Left 4 Dead in the Alien universe. Pretty simple and straight-forward game. It's nice for what it is, neither short nor too long; if on a discount, I'd go for it.
Stay away! I liked and supported this game for a few years, but they have left it in an unusable place. The highest difficulty has always been "broken", meaning your team has to sort to cheating the CPU in order to beat the maps. I bought the last DLC, Pathogen, when it came out. But I've never been able to play it. The game crashes every time I try to load a mission from that DLC. I have tried it on 15 different combinations of hardware and different OS installations, but the bug is still there. So basically, the devs left the game in an unplayable state and went on to repackage the same game a second time while asking full price. The Alien franchise deserves (a little bit) better.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think this game is very fun to play, especially with friends. While the enemies are quite challenging and the levels are designed for co-op play, the story isn't particularly engaging and is easily forgotten. However, I think it's one of the best co-op games around and I recommend it, especially if it's on sale.
It's not a terrible game, but it's not balanced. The ends of the first and second campaign as a solo player were really hard to complete. The third campaign wasn't. (Playing as a demolisher for all three.) And the whole thing feels kind of clumsy. Still really love the environment and the general Aliens franchise shtick. The music is pretty good. The perks and loadout system are intriguing. It desperately needs proc gen levels. (Haven't finished the campaign so I'm not sure what happens after that, but playing the same levels repeatedly is boring.) I'm sure that would be hard to do with a lot of these level types, but I'd like something like random infested colonies with random layouts and random barricades, much like in the second Aliens movie. All in all it's not a bad purchase for the price when it's on sale. I just wish there was a better, more modern aliens shooter. I don't regret buying it. I'd actually give it a neutral rating if Steam wasn't so dead-set on forcing binary choices on us.
Why did I only discover this game now? Very much captures the feeling of Aliens (1986). Not a ton of maps, but (I hope) quite a lot of replayability with the different classes and difficulty levels as I'm only 3.5 hours in at this point.

I've seen the movies once or twice, so I'm not a so-called "fan", but I like the universe. Still, after playing a few missions with friends, we're pretty sure we won't be picking this game up again. The gameplay feels like a compressed version of World War Z or Left 4 Dead. It's not bad, but it lacks any unique selling points that would make me think, "Man, I really feel like playing Aliens: Fireteam Elite today." The hit feedback is anything but satisfying, the dialogue is just warmed-up, pseudo-deep phrases, and the missions already felt repetitive during our short playing time. What also was a bit questionable was the music during horde fights. The OST sounds more like a calm sci-fi tracking shot through a solar system, than the soundtrack for an action-packed battle. Honestly gave me Star Trek: Voyager intro vibes–great soundtrack in general, semi-great battle music. Also, as a casual watcher, I always thought a Xenomorph was supposed to be a terrifying, special threat and not mass-produced cannon fodder as it is in this game..? How does this align with the intense struggle for survival in Alien: Isolation? Would Ms. Ripley have just needed a sleek suit and some fancy weapons to end the whole horror in two seconds? I miss the dark, threatening atmosphere and the H.R. Giger style. I know that this is not a survival-horror, I know this game is a referrence to the 1986 Aliens movie, and I get it when there are different approaches within the same universe, but for me, it just feels like the established lore and physics got completely thrown out of the window just to squeeze a cult movie universe into a sellable product for the mainstream market. It's kinda in the Universe's DNA to switch between mainly action or mainly horror, but here it feels like every other coop shooter. It's called "Aliens", but you could literally exchange the aliens with masses of different space zombies and it wouldn't make any difference. Long story short, I think gamers who really adore the universe will probably enjoy it, but for me personally, there are definitely much better Co-op TPS alternatives out there. It's okay for the sale price of 5€ I've paid, but definitely wouldn't pay more than 10€.
Игра просто супер, рекомендую)))
>Is game fun? - Grind = Fun - Gun Play = Fun - Atmosphere = Fun - Lore = Fun - Co-Op = Fun Game is fun.
