Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

BUGS BREAKING THE GAME
Solid - 7/10 ALIENS: DARK DESCENT runs great on my ASUS ROG Ally X XBOX handheld and is perfect for a long flight. The game is immersive with a solid story, good enough graphics, and great audio. Voice acting is pretty bad but it doesn't kill the experience. Hours of battery life indicates the game must be very well optimized for handhelds. CONS: Controller support works well enough but every hour or so it stops recognizing inputs and I need to restart. I also can't figure out how to order a single squad member separately (like positioning one sniper for line of sight) without moving the whole team. No way to change marine specs, without restarting the campaign entirely.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I loved the game! There are 2 levels that are kind of trash but hearing the ping on the motion tracker will always make me scared and I really enjoyed creating a team and sneaking around xenomorphs.
Great atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of the movie. Excellent stealth gameplay. Many people compare the strategy and management layer to XCOM; to me, it reminds me a lot more of Syndicate (Bullfrog, 1993).
I've had to load old saves multiple times due to missions bugging out, I'm over it i cant deal with it anymore.
After about 15 hours, I gave up due to the sheer number of bugs that prevented me from progressing through the campaign without having to reload previous saves or even start over. This game is getting older and should be mature enough to be bug-free by now, but no. A franchise like Alien is treated like a product you'd throw away at the supermarket.

Overall, a fun game that I would recommend, a real must-play if you like the Aliens-verse. Has great elements of stealth, squad/resource management, time pressure, and very intense firefights that really feel right out of Aliens the movie. However, I think your experience will be enhanced if you are prepared for a few...idiosyncrasies going in. First, the early missions are really good, as you get to puzzle solve your way freehand through the stealth elements, with multiple ways to not get spotted. However, inexplicably, then about halfway through they put the stealth elements more "on the rails", including parts where if you don't walk EXACTLY where the devs want you to, you are spotted. Second, the map system is...annoying. The map screen keeps its orientation, but you are very often rotating the camera, and there is no compass. This means that you have to constantly be figuring out which way you are walking on the map by trial and error. This would be fine if you weren't ALWAYS in situations where you need to run the exact right way the first time or you will get dog-piled by xenos and die. Third, the game has a way of consistently having very important and time-sensitive information be conveyed by voiceovers during the middle of the most intense firefights, often while yanking the camera halfway across the map to look at something. You'll get done the fight and then have a new yellow marker on the map but have no idea why you're going there because they were yapping about it while you were surrounded by 30 enemies. Fourth, you are being timed in the campaign, even if you don't know you're being timed...don't lollygag. Finally, the ending sequence is laughably terrible, you just kinda hold your nose and get through it. But, these were worth putting up with IMO for an otherwise very fun experience. If you've enjoyed other squad tactics games, a definite buy.
