Definitely not bad platformer with cute little spidy as main character. Visuals maybe not groundbreaking but introduce some variety. Level design not half bad with plenty of different power ups to catch, they act more like a boosters for limited time. Goal is to get enough points to get 5 stars rating on all levels, there's some challenge involved. Different obstacles like water, acid, spikes, nasty creatures. Shoot web and swing on it like a pro. Despite plenty of bad reviews gameplay is good, worth checking out.
Holy web-slinging pixel orgy, Batman! Alien Spidy is basically what would happen if Spider-Man got high on radioactive energy drinks, snorted a line of quantum goo, and then decided, “You know what? I’m gonna make humans work for my amusement.” And somehow, it f*ing works**. You swing from anchor point to anchor point, collecting energy bits like a hyperactive raccoon on Red Bull, trying to get them all in a row for that sweet score boost. It’s basically a twisted physics puzzle that slaps your brain around like it owes you money, but in a good way — like a sadistic uncle at Christmas who steals your candy but also gives you a blackjack tip. The game has three worlds, with like 16–24 levels per world, so don’t worry — it won’t f*** you over with a thousand levels that make you question your life choices… yet it’s challenging enough to make you feel like your thumbs are having an existential crisis. And holy spaghetti legs, some of these web swings are a pain in the robotic ass, but that’s part of the thrill. Nothing screams “I hate myself but also love life” like misjudging a swing and watching Spidy flop into oblivion. Physics? Absolutely bonkers. Controls? Mostly fine, but occasionally it’s like the spider got drunk and decided to ignore the laws of gravity. And yet, somehow, all of this chaotic nonsense works — because landing that perfect swing feels like sex with a power-up. A weird, electricity-laden, totally hypothetical sex, but still — satisfying. Alien Spidy is tight, twitchy, challenging, and weirdly addictive. You’ll curse, you’ll yell, you might throw your controller, and you’ll probably laugh at your own incompetence — and that, my pixel-puking friends, is why it’s a f***ing triumph. I just swung across my apartment screaming like a deranged spider.
Alien Spidy pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on cons: //a lot of difficult platforming //controls are somewhat difficult for a lot of obstacles //may need to set AlienSpidyexe => properties => compatibility mode => Windows 7 //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.49 Or Less During Sale
Nah
Um jogo de plataforma com controles terríveis. Tentei com mouse, tentei com controle, é muito confuso. Dificil fazer a teia funcionar. Quando funciona, não sei o que fiz de diferente. Fora a mecânica que teia (que não funciona) temos um jogo de plataforma feio e simples...
Developed by Enigma SP and published by Kasedo Games, Alien Spidy is a platforming adventure that combines physics-based movement with exploration and precision-focused gameplay. The story follows Spidy, a curious alien who travels across the galaxy searching for his missing companion, Virgi. His mission takes an unfortunate turn when his spacecraft crashes on Earth, scattering vital components across a vibrant but dangerous wilderness. Left alone in an unfamiliar environment, Spidy must recover the wreckage, survive countless natural hazards, and continue the search for his lost friend. While the narrative remains straightforward, it serves as an effective backdrop that keeps players invested as they venture through increasingly complex environments. The game's biggest strength lies in its unique movement system. Instead of relying on conventional platforming mechanics, Alien Spidy emphasizes momentum, web-swinging, climbing, and carefully controlled jumps. Every stage challenges players to understand how Spidy's movement interacts with the environment, rewarding those who develop a strong sense of timing and precision. The controls may initially feel unusual, but they gradually become more intuitive as players adapt to the game's physics. Success often depends on planning movements rather than reacting at the last moment, making every completed obstacle feel satisfying. This emphasis on mastery gives the gameplay a distinct personality that separates it from more traditional side-scrolling platformers. The campaign offers an impressive amount of content spread across numerous handcrafted levels divided among several diverse environments. Forests, caves, wetlands, and other natural landscapes each introduce fresh obstacles, enemy types, and platforming challenges that prevent the adventure from becoming repetitive. Hidden collectibles are scattered throughout nearly every stage, encouraging exploration and rewarding players who take the time to investigate alternate routes instead of rushing toward the exit. Boss encounters and environmental puzzles further diversify the experience, requiring different strategies and keeping the pacing varied from beginning to end. Players interested in replayability will also appreciate score chasing, collectible hunting, and leaderboard competition that extend the game's lifespan well beyond a single playthrough. Visually, Alien Spidy presents an attractive blend of colorful 3D environments and side-scrolling gameplay. The detailed backgrounds create the impression of a living ecosystem, while the bright lighting and vibrant color palette contrast nicely with the dangers hidden throughout each level. Spidy himself is animated with charm, making his movements expressive despite his tiny size. The visual presentation succeeds in creating a world that feels both welcoming and intimidating, as everyday creatures and obstacles become enormous threats from the perspective of a small alien spider. The soundtrack complements the presentation well, providing energetic and atmospheric music that enhances both exploration and high-pressure platforming sections without becoming distracting. Although the game delivers rewarding gameplay, it is not without frustrations. The physics-driven controls demand patience, and later stages can become extremely unforgiving. Minor mistakes frequently result in failure, meaning players must repeat difficult sections until they fully understand the movement mechanics. This steep difficulty may discourage those looking for a more relaxed platforming experience, especially since precision is often more important than speed. However, players who enjoy overcoming demanding challenges will likely appreciate how every successful run reflects genuine improvement rather than luck. Alien Spidy succeeds by offering a fresh interpretation of the platforming genre through creative movement mechanics, imaginative level design, and a charming science fiction premise. Its combination of collectible hunting, environmental variety, increasingly difficult challenges, and satisfying physics-based traversal creates an experience that rewards persistence and skill. While the demanding learning curve prevents it from being universally accessible, those willing to invest time into mastering its mechanics will discover an enjoyable and memorable adventure filled with personality. It remains an excellent example of an indie platformer that prioritizes originality over familiarity while delivering plenty of content for players seeking a meaningful challenge. Rating: 6/10
