Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
"AlibAi" is a barebones ChatGPT chatbot "game". Talk to a generative AI... what a joke. No graphics to speak of, and the main attraction is ChatGPT... Valve needs to start banning this stuff (I'm sure they'll treat it with the same urgency they do all the NFT/blockchain games they don't allow but haven't removed). AI slop is of zero value to gamers and it just makes indie devs look bad. I feel bad for the genuine developers who now have to compete with this garbage as well as the asset flips and other fake games. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game components usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms and ChatGPT to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen and AI is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Well, gamers can smell AI slop a mile away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Short version: F*ck AI, better play mafia games with real people! Long version: AI slop, which is so lazily made that the dev didn't even bother to make the button "Exit" =) Investigation go in circles and they ask the same questions each other the same way. Let me explain. When you play such type of games with real people and you admit that you're a killer you usually get hanged almost immediately. In case of this AI slop after you admit you're a killer ai people say: "oh you say you're the killer, it's so suspicious, why do you say that? Could you explain", you answer them, then they talk to somebody else then AI people start talking about you again: "He said he is a killer, why would he say that?" and it goes on and on, they talk rly long how they find it sus. Also you never have an alibi and you have to accuse somebody before they find you suspicious. It's alr but these ai people talk rly long and they say the same thing over and over again...
You‘ll pay for this, JasonLee!
I think the prompts for this game are pretty solid and Debra especially got a chuckle or two out of me, but structurally this game is quite bad : In the usual detective story, you are the detective and can't trust anyone. Here you are the killer and nobody has any reason to trust you. Especially since you actually don't have an alibi, nothing in the game to structurally help you get a lick of credibility. The best I could do was 3 rounds by accusing someone else and trying to frame them. But without any mecanics to do so, pretty much any situation where there are three victims left and two are in the same room, you are doomed. Except that... The chat is sometimes too long. The AI asks questions you just gave an answer to, goes on in circles. With so little to discuss (it's basically all about your location in the manor) you'd think it would at least be quick.
i suck at lying
It's fun. I framed others in every phase, which led to the topic revolve around the same one continuously....lmao, maybe i should try other tactics next time! but the interface did freezes once after i sent a message
It's like, in every scenario, everyone secretly knows it's you. There's no point in convincing, as they'll always, without fail, twist the story so you can't convince them because they're programmed to do so, as it's all one AI (you can tell because some people will think you're talking to them when obviously you're not), so it's not multiple AI trying to figure out who the killer is, and you are trying to convince them it's not you, it's more of a, you're the killer, the game knows, and it's just one big AI pretending to be multiple people, but it knows it's not the killer, so it defaults to choosing it to be another person, and you're the only other person. In short, it's you against a single AI that knows it's not the killer, so the only conclusion is for it to blame you, which it will always do. Yes, you can fandangle your way into making the AI kill off someone so you get a second shot, but then you get to a point where you either need to kill one person who's alone, and those that are left will have been together (the game is designed so that there's always one group of two people), so they'll count themselves innocent and you're the only suspect left, so they blame you, OR you go into a room with two people, kill one person, and then the other WILL blame you, and the other lone person will listen as, for some reason, an eye witness is counted as irrefutable evidence that will never be a lie (unless YOU are the eye witness, for some reason), so they'll always blame you. Either way, the AI blames you, and it's impossible to win. Now, even if im just bad at the game, and it IS possible to kill everyone until it's just you against someone else, i wouldn't be surprised if they just blame you, and vote for you. In that case, it's either always a 50/50, so it'll just repeat, you get hung, or you just give up. PLEASE devs, i love these kinds of games and wanna see this get fixed, but i just cant post a good review right now because, im sorry, it's not in a good state right now and i wouldn't recommend it. It's good that it's free, but c'mon.
