The concept of this game caught me and I was really interested in it! Being able to do a bit of action combat while being able to craft some potions that help you sounded interesting and they did a great job adding a lot of extra features to the game! The sad part is that the core of the game is confusing and not really well done. The potions aren't as fun as I thought (from the start at least) Aiming with the potions is not really well explained and often puts the effect behind the enemy. Camera doesn't move with your mouse if you aren't going perfectly horizontal. The cap on stamina feels out of place When you mute the game in game there are still footstep sounds Do take everything that I say with a grain of salt! This is only a demo from an unreleased game and I bet the devs will take close attention to reports and feedback. Best of luck devs on this journey!

I can see this game being really good to play in the future. My only compliant is the the controls and how well it runs. It is not very smooth. Maybe it s designed or a controller, not a keyboard? I enjoy the graphics and sounds used in the game. I'm curious to see what the rest of the storyline has to offer. Review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5bbKUXPJPc
Once upon a time, this was known as a demo, but now Prologue seems to be the nomenclature of choice. This acts as an introduction to the player characters, the world and it's history, the systems and mechanics, and the overall style and vibe of the game. Initially there is a flood of information that can feel a little overwhelming. There are a large amount of menus and sub systems which take a while to become comfortable with. At the most basic level, your alchemist lead must harness the four basic elements to overcome obstacles and enemies. Naturally you must discover and learn each of the elements individually, and this prologue only reveals the first two. Elements can be combined to reveal new attributes, and these can be applied to various attacks and abilities which will allow for offence, defence, and traversal. Enemies are varied, locations are vibrant and the whole thing has a nice PS2 era presentation. That is in no way an insult, and gave me a sense of revisiting a lost memory I didn't realise I had forgotten. This seems like it will be a pretty in depth action RPG, there are something like twelve elemental variations which can be applied to weapons, potions and I'm going to assume equipment. There is a fairly large skill tree to shovel experience points into, and there are plenty of little secret items and collectables to keep you hunting. I played this for about three hours and was really getting into the swing when it finished. Throw in a few achievements and it adds to the overall sense of accomplishment when you see the end screen. Definitely give this a go if like me, you have an interest in the full game.
Got stuck in a loop where I'd be trapped in a small map area and enemies keep appearing magically out of nowhere. So fun. Also: - poor camera controls - horrible controls - worthless map (hard to browse and current position not shown) - almost no mouse integration, tons of unregistered clicks in the rare menus where the mouse is implemented So bad
>The game plays fine on a controller. I believe everyone should possess a controller simply because some games feel better with one, but also it shouldn't be a requirement. >Crafting is confusing. I still havent figured out how to make anything other than the fireball that was given to me. Instructions are unclear, perhaps the layout of the page needs to be changed or a step needs to be taken out. >Dodging feels a bit ineffective at times. Perhaps I keep thinking i can dodge next to them but my hitbox is bigger than i think? I think it has potential to get better for sure. The aesthetics and voice acting is there.
This game looks very promising, as long as a few minor glitches in the gamplay can be fixed. First of, kudos on the story and general atmosphere of the game, because it feels both familiar (which makes the story understandable pretty easily) and creative (to avoid too boring cliches ). However ! And that's a big however mind you. The gameplay is pretty bad. The potions are a big part of the game, and yet, I still don't know how to make the healing potion. From what I gathered, it's probably impossible to make it when it's first introduced as a hint, and that's pretty weird. Either put it as a hint later, or explain more thouroughly WHY it's impossible to make it (I supposed it's impossible because every potion needs an element, and fire is not the one for healing potions, but who knows...) so actually, some fine points of the game system could be explained more clearly, even though the process of making potions is really smooth, which is good because it seems lots of trials and errors probably would be necessary to discover new recipes, although enabling mouse options may be a good idea for those who are avid clickers (I'm not, but a lot of people are :) Second is battle system. From what I can gather, the game was not planned for laptop users, so you mapped keyboard and mouse to what seemed to be console controlllers based interface. That DOES NOT work. Allow me to explain : to battle correctly, you need to move with the arrows or WASD. That's one hand. Throw potions, and pick up stuff with number keyboards and E , that's two hands. And move the camera and attack with the mouse.... That's three hands. Now, since I'm not an octopus, that's not really awesome design. So the choice you have is : give up potions and collecting : pretty sure that's not a valid option, especially since I'm pretty certain the game was designed to use potions to defeat certain enemies. Give up moving : Since the mouse attacks have dash system, you're gonna end up in 30 sec with most of the enemies behind you because you auto-dashed at one of them. Not a valid option either. Give up attacking : since the potion throwing system takes some getting used to (how many times did I throw random potions behind enemies...) you will probably die at short range. So you could either make the battling system easier on laptop users by : A : mapping an attack key to the keyboard, making the mouse only for camera. B : mapping moving to the mouse, freeing the arrow or wasd keys C : allow for custom key maps (that's a personal request, from someone with an AZERTY keyboard XD, but it's really good advice, trust me, I've given up a few games because the mapping system only made sense in qwerty ^^) That's all, my review is over, I hope it was useful. I'm recommending the game, but as of yet, I'm not sure if I'd have the patience to keep playing it with the current controls !
