About
Alchemickal is a roguelite twin-stick shooter where frantic action collides with elemental mayhem. Step into the shoes of an everyday alchemist who’s in for way more than he signed up for.
Use your jury-rigged tech to imbue your weapons with chemickals, granting elemental properties to your attacks. Shock foes with chain lightning, melt them with acid, or coat them in flammable tar for a cascading explosion. Discover ancient recipes to unlock powerful new combinations!
Enemies come with distinct quirks that shape every encounter: some bleed, others rust. Some can be tricked into attacking their own kin, others can have their own attacks turned on them. Learn their tricks, exploit their weaknesses, and survive another floor.
Every weapon has a unique upgrade tree. Between worlds, a cosmic entity offers a rotating stock of strange buffs, and bubbling cauldrons hidden through the dungeon hold alchemickal recipes lost to time. No two runs build the same arsenal.
Fast-paced twin-stick combat that rewards quick thinking and improvisation.
A reactive alchemy system where elemental matchups and special recipes define your tactical options.
Enemies defined by both faction traits and elemental affinities for layered encounters.
Permadeath: every run starts from the beginning.
Procedurally generated dungeons packed with hazards, ambushes, and other fun surprises.
An appealing shopkeeper.

A short but chaotic roguelite with a nice, complicated combat system to master and optimize.
I'm not one for rogue likes but this one was still fun for me. The element system enough depth to play around with different styles and tactics but still lets you just bash things with the basic elements (which is what I did). It rewards playing fast and precise, which the simple, well placed controls support. A run might be half an hour or less but still feels like you make progress and get stronger over time. Maybe it could use some minor QOL things here and there but there's really nothing to complain about and is a pretty polished game for what it is. Worth the 6 bucks if you're looking for a well balanced challenge for a few hours.

I loved the active-slowmo mechanic, it's the best part of the gameplay. Having a bit of time to planout my moves, makes the chaotic fighting actually fun. Never died and thought "wtf happened?", like in many other fast paced action games.
O combate é rápido e fluído, lembra bastante enter the gungeon.
Great combat mechanics, havent gotten to the first boss yet cause i keep getting blown up by barrels, but very fun. Also GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH DAM
A solid game, very fun to switch elements on the fly, as well as mix various elements together (HUGE lightning fan). It seemed cumbersome at first, but am glad to say that it was easy to pick up and I quickly grew to enjoy it. I was surprised at how intense a turret and 2 floating ball things were, depending on which variants I fought. I also REALLY love the little descriptions, very nice touch. Another thing I really liked was the weapon upgrade system. The descriptions given don't do them justice to how fun they are. I'd say the same for the altar bonuses, but they don't really appear enough for me to say much about them, still very cool. Honestly, my biggest issue is that there isn't more to play around with. The various special mixes range from interesting to somewhat underwhelming. Maybe it's to their benefit they aren't TOO game-breaking, but I can't say that one shield mix inspired much joy compare to, say, the explosive one? Shopkeep items are cool, but the HP ones seem a bit out-of-place, considering how fast you can die + the inbuilt heal mechanic. No Hit achievements are evil. For a boss, or level sure, but the WHOLE GAME? Evil. Would love a quick reset or a 1 HP mode so I can just focus on slamming my head for the next several months, or however long it takes. Overall, definitely worth the price, very cool game, glad I bought it.
mixing elements feel very nice, combat is fast and juicy, game run smoothly
Very fun, challenging, and chaotic roguelike. Mixing elements on the fly feels great once you get a feel for it and lets you get creative with some crazy powerful combos. The top down action is fast paced and brutal. Magicka for crack-heads.
Simple yet challenging roguelike. The flexibility of the element combinations can make for some very fun combinations, but most times I find myself just matching my element to the enemy's weakness for the most damage, then throwing on electric when possible to make an AoE chain to clear out the room as fast as possible (because things hit you HARD in this game). Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of build flexibility due to the limited amount of items you get, at least compared to other "bigger" games out there. Still very fun and solid for the price
