Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 24 → 5.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
A fun and interesting short story set a couple of years after the events of Alan Wake, with improved movement and graphics, the story mode of American Nightmare is great and absolutely worth playing for any and all Alan Wake fans. Can't say that I enjoyed the arcade mode, but then again, I forced myself to play it for the achievements. If one plays it because you enjoy wave/horde mode gameplay, you will not be disappointed.
Para pasar el rato esta bien, es un juego bien hecho en lo general, personalmente creo que esta bien sobrevalorada la saga de Alan Wake, pero pues ya gustos de cada quien.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare definitely feels like a side story or filler chapter in the larger franchise. It's short, fairly simplistic, and the gameplay loop gets repetitive rather quickly. And yet, as someone who loves the Alan Wake universe, I found it absolutely worth experiencing. What makes it interesting is less the story itself and more what it adds to Alan as a character—especially his relationship with Mr. Scratch. There is something fascinatingly psychological about Alan externalizing his darker impulses into this other version of himself: the narcissism, violence, fame, sexuality, and everything else that doesn't fit the image he wants to have of himself. American Nightmare plays with this duality in a particularly entertaining way. Alan is trying to get back to Alice and acts like the devoted husband, while simultaneously finding himself in a pulp-fiction fantasy populated by attractive women who seem remarkably interested in him. Considering that this entire reality is shaped through his writing, there is something almost hilariously revealing about it. It also makes his idealization of Alice more interesting in retrospect. Alan constantly presents her as his light, his salvation, the person he must return to, while Scratch gets to embody everything dark and unacceptable. The more I play this series, the more I wonder whether Alan's real struggle is not simply against his "dark side," but with his tendency to turn everyone—including Alice, Scratch, and himself—into characters in the mythology of Alan Wake. American Nightmare doesn't explore all of this particularly deeply, but it contributes another intriguing piece to that larger picture, especially when viewed alongside the first game and Alan Wake 2. Beyond that, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, sound design, voice acting, and the obvious care that went into the presentation despite the game's smaller scope. It has that unmistakable Remedy style throughout. And, of course, it has Poets of the Fall. What's not to like?

I have recently been on a Remedy Entertainment gaming binge due to the announcement of CONTROL Resonant. I have beaten all of their games in chronological order on the highest difficulty, and they all offer incredible gameplay and stories. If you like games built around sci-fi and mystery, you should definitely check them all out.
Oyun DLC'den hallice. Zaten kısa ama ona rağmen çok tekrar ediyor. Hikaye bir yere bağlanmıyor. Combat da ilk oyunla aynı. Sadece Alan Wake'i çok sevenler oynasın. Olumlu veriyorum ama tam sınırda.
I like what Alan Wake's American Nightmare did with the Night Springs episode in story mode, especially since this was a shorter game. The biggest negative is the Arcade mode. I'm not a fan. I'd prefer a game with more story content than an arcade more. Story > Score Overall, I recommend this game. It played well on the Steam Deck, the story did add to the lure, and I enjoyed my time with it.
