About
Become a sea captain on a post-apocalyptic Earth completely covered in water and go on an adventure in a huge open world. Sail through storms, fight and trade, capture other people's boats or build your own, extract resources from the bottom of the ocean, reveal the secrets of the Age of Water world.
Water post-apocalypse
The ocean destroyed a once great civilization, but people survived and adapted. They built settlements on the roofs of tall buildings and the tops of other man-made structures. People travel across the ocean in tiny boats and huge combat vessels. The ocean provides everything they need, including extractable resources on the seabed. And yet, the dream of real land is still alive.
True open world
Explore the world at your own pace, discover new settlements and meet their inhabitants. Complete tasks, search for and extract valuable resources from the bottom of the ocean, earn money on trade or simply sell the artifacts you have obtained, and when you get the idea of how this world works, build your own base.
Hundreds of unique ships
Build boats from scratch or modify existing ones. Players have access to dozens of hulls and hundreds of parts, from which they can assemble anything ranging from a small boat to a hefty vessel 30 meters long, and then install equipment, armor and weapons. It’s important not to forget to gather a team of good crewmembers so that there is someone to stand behind machine guns and cannons or do other work on board.
Fierce naval battles
Pirates are always waiting for you at sea, and in some cases more aggressive players even start to chase you, so do not forget to install enough guns on your deck. You can destroy an enemy vessel, or you can capture it in battle and take it for yourself forever. Adventures might also get you into storming enemy fortresses and defending allied settlements!
Personal naval base
This shelter is reliably protected from enemies, and it allows a player to organize the production of everything that the captain may need on it. Build factories for the production of equipment, weapons, hulls for boats of all sizes, as well as the necessary resources.
Flexible balance between PvE and PvP
At first, you will only meet computer opponents, but later you can challenge other players if you are confident enough in your skills and gear. Always be on the lookout: if your task is to transport illegal goods, then other players may well take the quest to hunt smugglers. In Age of Water, everyone decides for themself who they are today - a peaceful traveler or a bloodthirsty pirate.

★★★★☆ Age of Water – Incredible Potential, But It Feels Stuck ✅ The Good • One of the most unique post-apocalyptic naval survival games available. • Ship building and customization are genuinely fun. • Exploration and PvE combat can easily keep you entertained for hundreds of hours. • The core gameplay loop is solid. Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. ❌ What's Missing • Character customization • Player-to-player trading • Clans/Guilds • Better social features • More quality-of-life improvements None of these are required to enjoy the game, but they would dramatically improve the experience and help keep players invested. 💰 So Much Wasted Potential This game is practically begging for: • Seasonal Battle Passes • Ship skins • Captain clothing • Sailor customization • Cosmetic rewards • Seasonal PvE events These additions would keep players engaged while generating revenue without affecting gameplay. Instead, the game feels like it's in maintenance mode. While it still receives occasional patches and bug fixes, there has been very little meaningful new content to keep veteran players coming back. 🌍 The Server Problem The game currently operates on a shared international server located in Ireland. During my time playing, I've encountered very few English-speaking or North American players. Most of the population appears to consist of Russian- and Chinese-speaking players. That isn't inherently a problem, but the language barrier makes communication difficult. In my experience, many players are unwilling to help newcomers, and some abuse the leveling system. This has been my personal experience and doesn't represent everyone. The game desperately needs: • Dedicated North American servers OR • Player-hosted community servers Either option would create healthier communities and encourage much more player interaction. ⚔️ PvP & Community This is primarily a PvE game, which is perfectly fine. PvP exists during events, but outside of those, the world often feels empty. Even though global chat is available, almost nobody talks. It often feels like you're playing a single-player game alongside silent strangers. 🖥️ The User Interface The interface also needs work. Many menus automatically close after completing an action, forcing you to reopen them and navigate back through multiple screens just to continue what you were already doing. It may seem like a small issue, but after dozens of hours it becomes incredibly frustrating. Final Verdict Age of Water is still fun. I've invested a lot of hours because the gameplay itself is enjoyable. What's disappointing is how much unrealized potential it has. With better community features, meaningful content updates, and improved quality-of-life changes, this could have been one of the best naval survival games on Steam. Instead, it feels like a game with an incredible foundation that has never been allowed to reach its full potential. Recommended? Yes—but only if you're looking for a relaxing PvE ship-building experience and understand that major content updates have been infrequent. Don't expect a thriving multiplayer community or a constant stream of new features.

AGE of WATER is a really brilliant game. I’m just disappointed that there’s no further research or larger ships available. But even with what I have so far, the game is fantastic. I hope a sequel or an expansion comes out—for instance, one where you go through a portal to a new map and have to start fresh with your current gear, but with more missions, events, bosses, weapons, ship hulls, and so on. It would also be great to have more research options.

不开玩笑,游戏蛮好玩的。就是每1个小时100%闪退一次 Game is fun, its real. but 100% SHUTDOWN/per hour. 更新:游戏一周维护几次,好家伙,现在20分钟就崩溃一次 update: now is crash like 20mins/per time.
Was für ein Scheiß-Drecksgame
This Game could be great and one of a kind, + nice graphic, art style + nice concept but the quest design fails miserably. - no indication whatsoever of the difficulty level - little to no explanation - no balanced mix of easy and hard – no gradual introduction to various tactics or ship components. You are simply on your own—completely on your own. And if someone were to say, "Oh, but that’s exactly the concept... a genuine apocalyptic world and so on"—well, it isn't the real world; it’s a computer game. And if the game leads to frustration in a very simple and persistent way, then it has simply failed. Sadly. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned all the bugs yet. Hmm.
