About

Build, Gather and Fight in a Desperate Last Stand Against an Onslaught of Never Ending Evil!
The darkness is an entity of evil. Some say it is the manifestation of human fear and nightmares, others say it is a wandering mass of damned souls haunting us. The origin of the darkness itself is unknown, but one thing for certain is that we can keep it at bay through the power of light and fire.
The complete, full release of Age of Darkness: Final Stand is available now and includes Co-operative Multiplayer, Campaign, and Survival modes.

Brace yourself against huge tidal waves of Nightmares. Leveraging an internally developed technology called ‘SwarmTech’ allows the game to render over 70,000 enemy units on the screen at one time. These enemy legions claw their way up through seething fissures in the earth to reinforce ‘The Veil’.

Light up a rich, complex, procedurally generated map to claim territory back from ‘The Veil’. A dynamic living death fog that conceals enemies and drains life from your troops. Holding the line against this terror is not for the faint of heart.

Borrowing from the the roguelite genre, Malices are random afflictions placed on the player during every Death Night, unraveling the best made plans. Conversely, if a Death Night is survived, you may decide between three randomly selected Blessings, enriching the experience and giving your army a much needed edge.

Lead the charge against the horrors of the night with powerful and unique Heroes. Using special abilities gained from leveling up, these Heroes can be key to turning the tide of a desperate battle. But beware, the Nightmares have Elite roaming champions of their own that drop precious resources when killed, posing an extreme and ever-present threat to your expansion.

Co-Op Multiplayer - Team up with a friend in co-op multiplayer to survive the onslaught, defend humanity from the forces beyond the Veil, and reclaim the light together
Epic Campaign - Award winning single-player campaign full of epic battles and dire threats
Survival Mode - Put your endurance and skills to the test in the endlessly replayable Survival Mode
Award-Winning SwarmTech™ Technology – Witness the internally developed ‘SwarmTech’ technology, allowing the game to render over 70,000 enemy AI units on the screen at one time.
Unique Heroes & Factions – Choose Heroes reigning from three distinct Factions - The Order, Rebellion & Volatists - each with their own playstyles, abilities, bonuses and army units that offer a unique gameplay experience.
Dynamic Day & Night Cycle – Fight to reclaim territory by day and survive against the relentless horrors that come with every night.
Living Death Fog – Encounter The Veil, a living death fog that conceals terrors and adds a new layer of danger to your survival, which must be kept at bay through the power of the Light.
Malices, Blessings & Hardships – Embrace roguelite mechanics that make every run unpredictable and unique.
Elite Nightmares – Hunt down wandering powerful enemies for Dark Essence, each requiring different tactics and strategies to defeat.
Horror and Embolden Status Effects - Embolden your army to aid them in battle, but ensure they are protected from the brutal effects of being Horrified.
Terrifying Nightmare Foes – Face off against horrifying monsters like Spitters, Crushers, and Wraiths, each wielding unique abilities.

Not a bad game by any means, but lacking in a few very notable departments. It's clearly lacking pose-launch polish from player feedback. The sound mixing is rough. The music, when it deigns to play it, is very quiet even at maximum game settings. I'm someone who likes fitting, clear music playing during strategy games, especially during desperate holdouts in a strategy game. It can really elevate an experience from good to great. AoD: FS had music I liked, when I could hear it, but it was overly quiet in the mixing. I also had repeated issues where pausing to issue commands would cause the music to simply stop and not resume, or loading a save would break it. The gameplay feels pretty simple, with hero units designed to act as your vanguards using their active abilities. Unfortunately, this is hampered somewhat by the game's armor system, where the armor being reduced to 0 either means much slower, more careful progression to allow healing after fights or a lengthy retreat back to get it repaired. For free, thankfully, but the way the mechanic is implemented feels unusual for an RTS. Visually I had no issue. The units are color coded to faction and relatively easy to pick out, even when zoomed out. Buildings are distinct from each other, and indestructible terrain is fairly clear. The heroes are larger and easy to select in the heat of battle if you decide you don't want to use the pause system. The game economy took some adjustment, with resource caps fairly low overall and resource gain fairly slow. At times it felt like padding to keep me waiting instead of playing the game, much like unit healing. Unit healing, something fairly important for an RTS, is primarily done out of combat. After a few seconds, HP regen kicks off and generally a minute of standing around will see a unit back to full health (though not full armor). There are a few units with a 'combat healing' function, but the implementation makes it clear that they're really not to be relied on, having a lengthy cooldown between casts and a small area of effect focused around the caster. Said casters are also melee focused with low health and armor, which again feels odd and requires some adjustment. There's also the issue of the AI having a tendency to focus fire on them. It just doesn't quite mesh with the usual conventions for healing units, to the game's detriment. All in all, it isn't a bad game, as I said, but it is notably lacking in polish and post launch support. Pick it up if it's on sale like I did and you'll probably get your money's worth, but I'd recommend making periodic manual saves to avoid the worst frustrations. That said, you only get one manual save per chapter in the story, so you still risk soft locking yourself if you make a bad decision that isn't revealed until an hour later. Leaving as Not Recommended until and unless it gets some updates and bugfixing.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Muerte segura
Great concept but the fps issues and general lack of polish ruins the experience.
Bought this game on EA. It never got better. If anything, even worse. Can't say for coop or multiplayer (some say about DCs), but main plot is very unsatisfying. From character arcs to interactions. To the point of me not wanting to play more. As for gameplay - poor performance, mediocre mechanics, nothing you'd already seen. If you want game like They are billions (like I was), unfortunately, go look somewhere else.

多人斷線閃退遊戲!
Great game and the controls feel like they are easy to understand and get the hand off, definitely recommend this to people who like simulation types of games
Mechanics reminds me of They Are Billions, the art has a bit of of Warcraft III.
Enfin bref, TAB me revoilà !
