After the Stream Went Dark

An interesting brief exploration of parasocial relationships. You do not need a controller to play this visual novel. The voice acting is also pretty good.

It's a decent game, just wondering about the fade to black achievement. It may be glitched out I could be wrong though.

I've liked it but the "About This Game" section is really overselling it.

Short VN about a streamer's identity crisis, at least from how I understood the story. It's not the best story ever, but it's entertaining and kinda interesting, for how simple and short it is. I like that it's fully voice acted. The VA's voice fits well, and I liked her deliveries. The hand-drawn style is simple and cartoonish, but in a good way. I liked this style. It's a nice way to spend some minutes and get some achievements. You might enjoy it if you have that in mind and aren't expecting much more from this game.

A short and easy horror game. There isn't much to do though. The achievements are mostly easy, though i think i got stuck on one for a while. While it is simple and the graphics is pixelated 2d, it is still nice and fun to play.

This game is short and easy to complete, and despite it insisting you should grab a controller, you can play it just fine without one. It throws you right into the obsession-based horror and maintains the uneasiness throughout, although it doesn't really explain what the horror actually is or why it's happening (I feel like Veil is meant to be a metaphor for Nyx's insecurities about how her fans see her, but I'm not really sure). I appreciate how it addressed the often overlooked darker side of streaming and how difficult and draining it can be. The music and visuals were simple but effective enough, and I appreciate how the game was fully voice acted. I wish the player's choices mattered a bit more, though. Since it's free, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a mildly creepy visual novel to fill a bit of time.
