Different Modes

In Aerial_Knight’s DropShot, you’ve got three unique ways to throw yourself out of a perfectly "good" plane:
Standard Mode – You and a swarm of enemies are dropped into freefall. Take out as many as you can before hitting the ground while dodging bullets, avoiding obstacles, and making sure you’re not the one getting taken out.
Boss Battles – Face off against massive, over-the-top bosses in midair. Deal as much damage as possible before they either wipe you out or beat you to the ground. All while avoiding deadly traps, jamming to a dope soundtrack, and keeping your head on a swivel.
Race Challenges – Go head-to-head with your persistent rival in a high-speed dive to capture a falling Egg before they do. Hit slipstreams, grab score multipliers, and watch out every time you beat them, they’ll upgrade their gear and come back faster in the next race.
Live out your dream of finger-blasting multiple enemies as you all fall to your death.

You can tell that they're learning from every game. Dropshot is the newest Aerial Knights game, and it is FUN! Technical: It runs great. I encountered not glitches or bugs, and the controls are snappy and responsive. Fun factor; It's there in spades. You're dropping from planes against other mercenaries attempting to capture the dragons you're out to kill. Your weapon is a power manifested in your ability to shoot bullets from your two fingers. The concept is funny, but it's also so much fun. As fast as you can pull the trigger button he will fire. It works great with a controller and aiming is fast and just the right amount of forgiving. The one knock against the game is that it can be difficult to spot enemies in certain levels where they blend into the environment in the sky. It's a minor thing and hardly an issue that detracts from the game in any meaningful way. Although you can finish the game in around 2hrs, which was my playtime, I doubt you'll do it and get a perfect series of runs, so if you're concerned about bang for your buck, my guess is, depending on skill level you'll at least get another 2-5hrs of play time to run every level perfect. Also, this is a tiny group that made this game so I'm far more apt to pay full price for such a unique and fun experience by a team that just keeps getting better with each project. I plan to go back and try to get an S tier by shooting down all the enemies. This game isn't super difficult but the later levels are far from easy. Dropshot is the type of game you come back to when you don't have a lot of time but want to slip in a quick half hour or hour of gaming. I loved it! Thank you for reading.
This is SUCH an engaging game. I love that it's a single person shooter game so it makes it easy to compete against yourself to be the best. Some of the levels are incredibly challenging and it really makes you want to try again and again. The art style and music blend together to make a great gaming experience. While some players may be able to get through the story of the game fairly quickly, the need for perfection allows for a lot of replays. I'm looking forward to continuing to play.
Tired of the old fps shooters, well, this game gives a fun refresh on shooting and skydiving with a bizarre storyline. Evil cows, radioactive dragons, exploding rubber ducks and more makes this fast-paced shooter entertaining with a unique style. The music pairs well with the action and is a great tribute to the composer.
Fun, unique, arcade style game.
silly yet stylish, really dug this game. initially played in chunks throughout my day of 3-4 sets of levels at a time. I think these kind of short burst arcadey games are becoming a bit of a lost art and its fun to play one so well executed. I feel like the game does a pretty decent job of building on itself with each new set of stages. going for the s+++ ranks is a lot of fun as it reveals the depth involved in figuring out an optimal route through the drops. Visuals are great, and the music is incredible. Smoke Wallace is one of the coolest leads in a video game Would love a mode where you just do all 50 stages in a row with a limited number of deaths allowed as an alternate way to replay the game, but right now Im really enjoying chasing the s+++ ranks and doing the endless mode for kicks every now and then
Without any introduction, the game drops you straight onto a level select screen. The first chapter is already unlocked and lets you pick any of its five stages. Naturally, the first stage feels like the right place to begin, and it comes with a brief explanation of who you are and what exactly is going on. For completely bonkers reasons, you were bitten by a radioactive dragon, which changed the color of your skin and gave you the ability to shoot bullets from your fingertips. Unfortunately, your family wasn’t nearly as lucky and ended up in a dragon’s stomach instead of gaining superpowers. Now your mission is to wipe out every dragon by jumping out of an airplane. Of course, things can’t be that simple, because a group of mercenaries is jumping alongside you, hoping to capture the dragons and their eggs for themselves, and you’re not about to let that happen. Gameplay is straightforward and feels a lot like old arcade games where chasing high scores matters just as much as finishing the stage. Once you’re thrown out of the plane, your goal is to reach the finish line while shooting mercenaries with your gun, using melee attacks when they get too close or when you run out of bullets, and dodging various hazards along the way. The gun has a medium range, so you need to wait for the cursor to change before firing, which guarantees a hit. Thankfully, ammo is never a real concern because balloons scattered throughout the stage instantly reload your weapon. The additional mechanic comes from skill power-ups that show up in certain stages. These give you a random temporary power, or you can pre-select it by wearing glasses that you unlock by beating stages. Most threats come from lasers and the environment itself, especially the many floating islands spread across your descent. Hitting an island leads to immediate death, while other threats take one of your health bar. At the same time, you don’t actually need to eliminate every mercenary to complete a stage. Skipping enemies mainly affects your final rank, which also depends on how many coins you collected, how quickly you finished, and how much ammo you had left. You can speed up your descent by flying through speed rings, but if you’re aiming for the coveted S plus rank, every mercenary has to go. Even if you collect every coin and finish at top speed, missing a single enemy locks you into the lower S or A rank. To unlock the next chapter, and there are ten in total with five stages each, you need to complete all five stages in the current chapter with a rank. Four stages are standard runs, while the fifth is either a boss fight or a race. Races remove combat entirely and focus on maintaining speed by flying through rings and multipliers. Boss fights are much more intense. You need to constantly shoot the boss until its health is depleted, but bosses freely fly around you, forcing you to look away from the ground below where most of the obstacles are waiting. This creates a frantic balancing act where you’re constantly checking your path, avoiding hazards, grabbing ammo balloons, and turning back toward the boss whenever it moves into range. All of that has to be done quickly before you either crash into the ground or get destroyed by the boss itself. Every stage is short and fast-paced, usually lasting around a minute or even less, which makes replaying them for better ranks genuinely fun instead of exhausting. One clever mechanic that isn’t immediately obvious is using enemy slipstreams for a speed boost instead of killing them right away. In some stages, mastering this trick is the only way to reach the final enemy before the finish line. The game also does a good job of keeping stages fresh with unexpected quick-time events, which can become repetitive, and entertaining cutscenes. Performance-wise, the game runs flawlessly and I didn’t encounter any gameplay issues. Even though it recommends using a controller, I personally found aiming and shooting with a mouse while moving with a keyboard far more comfortable. The only real problems are tied to achievements, which currently refuse to unlock, and a broken exit button that doesn’t actually close the game, forcing you to use the usual force quit shortcut instead.
This game rocks. The music and visuals are rad, and I love a good "pick up and play" arcade experience. Hit credits and I've been having a great time going back to older levels to get high scores. Well paced action in compact levels. The difficulty scales pretty well, sometimes I'd have to sit up and lock in, but I never felt like it got too easy. Also the big flashy hit effects are so satisfying. You can play on mouse and keyboard and try and be more accurate, but the vibe of the controller really does feel better. Excellent experience from a stylish team!
Super fun arcade-like game with fun mechanics and addicting gameplay. Short, sweet, and to the point with its gameplay. Though the first few levels may seem easy, the difficulty ramps up to a satisfying level, making the goal of playing the levels at the highest level a genuine challenge (at least for me lol) Having played since an early beta of the game, the updates and changes that have been made since then have been wonderful and well worth the wait.
I haven't finished the entire game yet, but from my time with it i really enjoy it! Always appreciate hand crafted art, the loud visuals are definitely a big thing that drew me into the game. The looks and the music, combined with the fast arcade style gameplay makes it a blast! Drop-Shot has a vibe like an early 2000s Arcade Shooter, something I definitely could have seen in an Arcade. Actually I think this game on an arcade cabinet with some light guns would go WILD.
Just played the first four worlds and boss: it's pretty cool. You skydive, you shoot other guys and then there's this boss dragon....good arcade fun, check it out.
