About

Halloween is off to a rough start. The plan was simple: get ready, grab your friend, and hit the party. But when the mayor turns up dead in a back alley, "simple" is officially off the table.
Meet Sunny Summers. She's got a moody attitude, a wardrobe that's 99% black, and zero interest in being a hero — or anything positive really. She takes out her mood swings on her AI companion Cogs, a lovable penguin robot. They are, without a doubt, the worst duo to ever be tasked with solving a murder. But sometimes, you don't get to choose your adventure.
A modern take on the classic Point-and-Click genre.
Investigate a conspiracy bigger than one dead body.
Solve challenging logic puzzles.
Endure nonsensical humor and snappy dialogue.
Collect stuff, craft stuff, shoot stuff (in that order)
Fight the evil (and mostly your own inner demons)
PSA: Sunny and Cogs are unstoppable!

I was really enjoying this for what it is- a game made by a passionate dude, who used whatever sprites he could get his hands on and made it work. I respect that. Also, I really like how nothing is in the order you expect- like the good old days of adventure games. HOWEVER, close to the end is a game-breaking bug that made me so damn mad. When I woke up in my bedroom after the whole Guardian thing, no matter what I did, I couldn't leave my room. "You cannot leave the scene at this time" Every time I reloaded the save. Sometimes, it would let me leave but then this would happen in another location. And my save before all this was hours ago and I just couldn't bring myself to restart AGAIN- another save was corrupted early on, losing all my progress but I soldiered on. But that was then. I can't recommend this game knowing what I know. Also the dialogue is just awful.
