ADVANCED V.G. Saturn Tribute

Played an arcade run and it was fun but there were a bunch of audio issues and Eririn loss CG is censored, I'd rather not lose my refound window trying to find more instances of this but honestly I would still refound even if there is no more instances, wich is a shame, this whole 'saturn tribute' project really hyped me up but if you're gonna do this kind of ♥♥♥♥, you're better off not bothering. Also, all dialogue is japanese with no subtitles, if you can't speak the language you're gonna end up not understanding squat, it's neat that the win quotes and the endings are fully voiced but they are only voiced.

90s anime aesthetic will always be the best! Wish we had more fighting games with this sprite style. The ecchi art in after defeating opponents was also a nice touch haha.

総評 Capcomのコレクション程親切ではないが、（レトロ格ゲーにしては）取っ付きやすい。 格ゲー初心者や、ワンボタン技がない格ゲーに挫折した人にお勧めできる。 良い点 ・ワンボタン技が付いている ・キーボードでもプレイできる ・キーボード操作でもワンボタン技を使える ・デフォルトのCOM難易度が易しい ・むさ苦しいおじさんがいない ・レトロ格ゲーにしては美人キャラが多い ・PCへの負荷が殆どない ・主人公が平均的な道着キャラである 良くない点 ・ゲーム内の音量を調節する機能がない ・PCの音量を2にしても大きい ・COM戦を1ラウンドにできない ・トレーニングモードがない

Pretty fan of V.G. a very rare ans obscure fighting game, it's not the best one or have a good balance but it's fun keep in mind this is the Saturn Version so it doesn't have the same CG as the PC one so theres is no H-Scenes here only the censored ones from the V.G. of PC, wish one day they port he Advance V.G. 2 or even V.G. Max but i you wish to have a fun time with a pretty old school fighting game; give it a chance its fun and the characters are pretty charismatic; also yeah there is no subtitles for the Story Mode but the Japanese used is pretty simple so anyone with little knowledge of japanese will get the story.

Game where you fight to become the best waitress. You get to unlock interesting illustrations as you beat the opponents. There is an animated story mode and the story is pretty serious. Should be on EVO main stage.

Joguei muito o ADVANCED V.G. 1 e 2 no PS1 junto do primeiro guilty gear. O jogo em si não tem nada especial, mas diverte bem quem curte jogo de luta, possui um modo historia todo dublado em japonês que infelizmente nessa versão de pc não colocaram legendas(eu pelo menos não vi). É uma game de luta simples, quebrado, mas que pode render algumas horas de diversão. É bom ver ele na steam pela preservação. Eu gosto bastante desse jogo, mas tudo que poderia ter sido incluido como extra nessa versão, colocaram como DLC, que podia pelo menos ser mais barata. Diferentes de sua origens (pra quem não sabe, isso aqui é de um eroge com umas coisas até pesadas), a versão ADVANCED V.G. no máximo tem um pouquinho de sensualidade, nada explicito ou pesado aqui pro pessoal que gosta de esfolar o palhaço. E pra quem curte Platinas, a desse aqui é bem fácil de fazer. [b]RECOMENDO SOMENTE COM 65% DE DESCONTO OU MAIS.[/b]

ゲーム自体、懐かしくて購入しました。 ただ、PC-98版でなく、サターン版であることに注意。キャラの必殺技など、PC-98版とサターン版での違いがあります。 動きなど、「あれ？こんな感じだったかな？」と思うところがあります。(これは、近年のゲームのアニメーションに、目が慣れてしまった証拠かもしれません。) まあ、サターン版の移植版ですから、仕方ないと言えばそれまでですが。 オマケで、サターン版での最強キャラは「えりりん」でした。初心者は、このキャラで進めたらいいのかなと。 あと、注意点が一つ。ゲームのバックアップを取ったところ、意味不明なフォルダが作成されました。中のファイルを取り出すのに苦労します。同時にこのフォルダを削除すると、フォルダ内の他のファイルも一緒に削除されてしまいました。(※) バックアップは、専用フォルダを用意するか、諦めた方がいいでしょう。バックアップ後は、圧縮ソフト「WinRAR」などで圧縮・削除するといいですよ。 ※フォルダ「Backup」の中にゲームのバックアップを取ると、フォルダ「Backup」の中の「関係ないファイルも全て消去される」という意味です。

Advanced V.G. confuses me. I understand that it's originally from the days of the arcade, and that's why it has the quirks it does, but it just seems to lack variety in the menus and the gameplay. This is probably bias after playing numerous other 2d fighting games, though. If I had to try to explain this game, it's like Tekken but without the depth, large roster and spectacle. Take note that when you startup the game, you're greeted with a startup app before the actual game executable launches. After that, make sure you take a screenshot of the bindings for future reference, because the only way to view it again is to relaunch the whole game. As others had mentioned, there's this strange sound delay present, and I'd noticed that sounds (such as hitting an opponent) sometimes don't play. I had also noticed the game feels sluggish even with v-sync off; it's like the game engine is deciding to slow down the game for some reason, or it's actually chugging for whatever reason. The right- and left-triggers seem like a weird decision. The former I didn't use much at all, but the latter (after 7 matches in) seems to be what I'd like to call the "almost-get-outta-jail-free-card". You just spam the left-trigger and it does all the super moves automatically for it and moves your character optimally in the arena, which I think defeats the purpose of a 2d fighter in the first place. Why include a button (that you can spam, mind you) that essentially does all the work and plays the game for you? Another weird quirk I'd noticed, which might be attributed to an engine bug, is that sometimes your opponent or yourself are able to hit each other, but visually it looked like the other of you whiffed the punch/kick. It kinda messes with readability during gameplay and makes you wonder "how did they hit me?" when your opponent was nearly a solid half-their-torso away from you. I think the worst offender though is that there's just not much to this game. Once you get the 3 super moves down and the 2 ultra moves(?), there's not much else Advanced V.G. has to offer the player, aside from (to me) pointless "eye-candy" after defeating an opponent. [list] [*]Game Level (seems to be the difficulty scaler) [*]Time Limit (in seconds: 30, 60, 99, indefinite) [*]Music Select (this is [b]not[/b] a volume scaler; I think it just changes the song during gameplay) [*]Sound Mode (Stero / Mono) [/list] Speaking of configs, it's important to know that you have to press the Select button to open the emulator menu; from there you can change the resolution, toggle v-sync, adjust the contrast, etc. Keep note that even if you try to re-toggle for English, the in-game text (except the menus) will remain in Japanese. I'm not sure what else to write at this point. This is just a confusing anime fighter that was brought to modern platforms, accomplished by plugging it into an emulator. It's probably a game too niche, even for me. Or it might be that I wasn't a part of the target audience for this game. Regardless, it was a letdown. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

its a really interesting time capsule to the early sf2ww era but it really does not feel fun to play
