ACUVAC is chaotic vacuum foreplay. It isn’t just a game about cleaning, it’s a shameless hose-swinging fantasy where I got sucked harder, blown faster, and left dirtier than I ever expected from a vacuum. This game could have coasted on its dirty jokes, but instead it delivers (intentionally) awkward gameplay, tons of creativity, and genuinely fun challenges. It turns out sucking, blowing, and flopping your hose around is a recipe for greatness.
Acuvac is a fun physics puzzler where you are a vacuum cleaner sucking up various objects. Objects that are too large to suck up will remain in your nozzle and can be launched to various effects. You progress through levels in a sort of newer super mario bros style overworld map for level selection and can unlock new areas by collecting medals. These include core gameplay like cleaning up an area and doing it quickly in addition to finding or solving mini easter eggs and puzzles in levels. Overall, each level has great variety and fun music, leveraging the core mechanic in a new way that keeps it fresh. Levels have good replayability for trying to get all of the medals (especially the speed ones which are quite difficult) and the music stays fresh, so you never get bored. In terms of critiques, there are really only minor things. Trying to aim things to launch them is difficult because the laser sight does not account for the weight of the object you're launching. Some objects are rather difficult to dispose of because they don't get properly attached to your nozzle, and moving them with your body is awkward in an annoying way. Also because you're sucking so much with the right trigger, it actually does wear down your hand a bit holding it for so long (though maybe if you play with a mouse it's not as bad). Still, these are all pretty minor. The core gameplay and level design are great overall, the music is nice, and the visuals are fun. I'd definitely recommend the game to anyone who likes this genre as a fun way to kill some time and have a fun, suck and blow adventure!

Super easy to pick up and fun to play around in the world with the physics and environment. The music slaps. The art is cute and personable. The challenge levels usually bring a fun twist to a level so the second time you play it you're actually challenged. Makes for good replay-ability. In the age of limited time I wish it was easier to unlock the later levels so I could enjoy the full game. What I did play was fun and may draw me back to be completionist later. Try the demo. If you like the demo you'll love the game. Can't wait to see more projects from this team!
i must suck everything!!!
Spent 30 minutes throwing furniture out a window 10/10 would do again.
A game that you can just turn off your brain except the part regarding operating a heavy machine (the vacuum controls reminiscent of one.)

bolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllw
I love the game but sadly I need to give it a bad review for the fact that one of the achievements to get stuck in the loft closet seems to be broken. Really ruined it for me.
Disclaimer: Got gifted the game. That said, I've had a fun time with it! The game is short enough and contained enough that it doesn't overstay its welcome, and every level offers some kind of unique twist on the "suck stuff up, fling it out" formula. My two main complaints: 1. The aiming reticule is almost useless, if not worse than useless, at least at first. 2. There's a part in one level where you have to unlock a door. The door requires a key...but the key has to be VERY SPECIFICALLY aligned with the keyhole. I could be missing something, but I felt like getting the alignment right required a degree of precision that the controls just did not allow me to achieve, though I did eventually get it. That was probably the one time I got truly frustrated in a "I don't think I'm the problem here" sense. Despite those two things, the game is fun, and gives me vaguely Katamari Damacy vibes. If you like that, or weird physics games more generally, you'll like this too.
