Active Soccer 3 is an incredibly good game. It's pure football without scripts and rails. You have complete freedom in how you want to play the game. Shots, passes etc. have to be controlled manually. The gameplay is fluid and everything is very responsive. The sheer amount of players, teams and tournaments is staggering. There is no other football game on the market with these features. Don't forget to use community data files. Do yourself a favor and buy this game. It won't disappoint you.

No hydration breaks = win But serious, in a short amount of time it is clear this game got very good vibes from the first PES´s. Beats fifa and alikes any time of the day because it does not even require online services bs.
This game is really quite promising. Starting in the 5th tier trying to take my beloved Oldham through the leagues! The set piece camera is great, reminds me of ps1 fifa games. So satisfying to curl in a perfect corner (And so frustrating when you overhit it and curl it right into the stands!) Dev is still working on the game and I'm looking forward to the 1.0 release. Worth a tenner for sure. I'm having a good time
Edit: You know what, I'm changing my review to positive. The dev fixed some things and I realize now this game is only balanced around the best teams. Just play England vs France rather than Um Die Ecke vs Kummerspeck and you can actually score without setting up an elaborate one-timer. Dev is working on it and this game is more promising than FIFA, let the dev cook. I want to like this game, but I just can't. Shooting without setting up a one-timer is basically pointless. I had 18 shots on net one game and 0 goals. Player selection is atrocious and most goals against you will be because you're trying to switch to the proper defender and the AI dribbles directly through your other defender that you're scrambling to select. When the AI shoots the ball will bounce off your goalie to a spot they can rebound it about half the time. I have played 2 hours now and have only seen a reboundable ball after my shot a single time. Every other ball goes off the keeper and immediately out of bounds. Oh, and this game gives priority to whoever does an action when there's an air ball. If you want to just receive an air pass don't bother, pass or shoot it midair or the AI will instantly take the ball from you. Air passes are essentially worthless unless you're doing a one-timer.
undisclosed generative ai. sneaky sneaky but you overlooked something ;) edit: in response to the dev, heres a screenshot. uploaded as artwork because for whatever reason i cant upload a screenshot for this game. tested it with others and it worked idk. i dont think im wrong. are you sure about that? ive never seen a keyboard numpad that looks like this. i dont think there are even enough keys for the numbers? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3765720347
Tausend mal neu geladen, Simulation, Trainer Modus, alles versucht. Es hilft nichts. Das ist schon sehr frustrierend.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this game, and it causes more frustration and anger than happiness and satisfaction.
The game has a lot of potential, and there are several things I really enjoyed, especially the classic teams and the Career Mode. What made me request a refund, and why I can't recommend it at the moment, is the gameplay. It lacks weight and doesn't feel satisfying to play, even for a retro-inspired football game. Improving the physics, ball control, passing accuracy, and the overall feel of the gameplay would completely change the experience. There are also a few bugs that are quite frustrating, particularly during the tutorial and penalty kicks. It feels like a lot of effort went into recreating modern squads and real-life players. While it's certainly nice to recognize famous players, that honestly wasn't my main reason for buying this game. A few suggestions for the developers, besides improving the gameplay: - Improve the UI/UX of the menus while keeping the retro aesthetic. - It would be amazing to play classic tournaments from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, with era-appropriate balls, pitch conditions, and presentation. To me, this game has the potential to become the Formula Legends (3DClouds) of football. The foundation is there, but I believe the gameplay should be the top priority before anything else.
Its not a bad game, its just extremely far from complete, boat loads of bugs and it also just doenst look like the trailer whatsoever. Overall i think this game needs much more time in the oven
