This game wasn't bad for under $1. The developers should have at least added a way to edit the default controls on keybinding since i did not like having to press the "number keys" to switch my weapons and also "Right Click" to kick. I felt the Kicking was stronger than using the Bat so i felt using the baseball bat was useless. This game would be better if there was a zoom in button to aim down the sights of your weapon and also a SNIPER for the slow aliens haha! But also i don't know if it's just me or everyone else but when shooting an alien, the accuracy was off with the cursor, i felt moving the cursor to the left of the alien that it would actually hit them and not really leaving the cursor on their body; half the time i left the cursor on the body, it wouldn't even hit the alien.. other then that it was fun!
As a successor to the original cult classic Action Alien by DevDan Games I feel that this is unworthy. To start out there is only one consolidated game mode, that being accessed by a single "START GAME" button. I feel that the original captured the essence of a mission mode and arcade/ survival very well and I'm not sure why they did not continue this into the next game. The original's items call back to older FPS games like DOOM, with the items being still on the floor and only picked up when needed and the guns are switched with the E key. This game adopts a newer style with floating items that have huge names below them that don't disappear until you are noticeably far away. This game keeps the old destructible structures which is good but i believe this is on another engine which has different movement to the smooth UE movement of the older one, also having much worse "bunny hopping" (if you could call it that) which was disappointing as my play style consisted of said movement. The "story" itself (which I'll admit was thin to none in the first game) is lackluster as the intro is just a text box and the starting area is a little to close to the action as the first game eased you into it, having the aliens already spawned to show you what you're up against. The price is disappointingly high as I bought the original for $0.34 USD with a discount coupon from crafting a badge, this one being $5 USD rubs me the wrong way as its only a remaster (a bad one at that)| 4/10, the 4 is earned only from being born into the Action Alien legacy.

Absolute trash. Not sure what I was drinking the night I installed this game but I regret it more than the hangover. Run away from this game as fast as your computer allows!
Note: Because this game is just a copy + paste of "Action Alien", my review is likewise going to appear similar to my review for that game, because it's the same game. It's unclear why the developer dumped the same game on Steam twice, apart from perhaps to try extort more money out of gamers. It's not okay to do this. Action Alien: Survival (Prelude?? The developer gave this copy + paste of Action Alien two different names!) is a rather poorly made FPS where for whatever reason you're in a little town surrounded by spelling mistakes, terrible English translation, and most amusing of all, identical copies of a gas station and a motel. Like exact same copies + pastes of the same asset. Yep, this is an asset flip. Not a scammy one as far as I can tell, but still a bunch of assets thrown in a blender and dumped out on Steam despite having no value as a video game. It's clunky, unpolished, controls are locked, and the asset flipped AI monsters are laughably dumb. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Action Alien Survival/Prelude/whatever has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for kicking 50 aliens, pretty easy given the terrible AI and low TTK, but only around 26 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. The poor quality of this game also is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. That's right, only 3. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason. Action Alien: Survival has the gamer gouging price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
It's okay.
Buildings that are completely destructible and smooth graphics make this FPS quite entertaining to play, plus perfomance are good so is the gameplay smoothness. Some improvements could be made for the animations and some things here and here but I feel it is overall good game.
††† STAY AWAY DEMON!!! †††
