- is bad + is good = is neutral = The plot is ok, its not much, but its also not all over the place, the game is very blatantly about a meerkat saving other meerkats from monsters. - Visually the game is kinda off. The meerkats eyes look sunken in, and while most of the monsters look like monsters, the rhino things look legitimately happy. - Some games get progressively harder by adding new ways to trip up players, ace meerkats is not one of those games, instead they opt for a really common approach of simply lengthening each level to increase the difficulty, which gets tedious. - gameplay wise, the levels are obnoxiously easy, I died maybe once during my entire time playing. Almost everything this game has to throw at you is already revealed on the first 3 levels. - The game is extremely buggy, this is one of the reasons its also super easy, its obvious looking at the trailer that the player shouldnt be able to wall jump, yet by walking back and forth in mid air while touching a wall you can replenish your jumps as if you touched the ground, most of the times I had to do a force restart were literally due to me falling out of the map. - The game is insanely expensive, likely justified by the idea more levels will come in the future. The problem with this is the game has been out for around 7 years, and they only have around 2 hours of content. The idea that the developer will come back now and quadruple the size of this game is laughable. - Playing the game for too long causes all sounds to slow down and get staticky, turning the game in to a fever dream. - jumping on a monster diagonally hurts the player - some monsters will damage you no matter what when you jump on them because they where placed in rooms with low ceiling clearance, which forces the player to take a hefty chunk of damage, but also instakills the monster. - Gems do absolutely nothing as far as i could tell, each level i saved all 3 meerkats and got 3 stars regardless of my gem count. There are so many platformer games out just like this, considering that almost all of them are likely to be better than ace meerkats i see 0 reason for anyone to actually buy this game. It has way to many flaws, is extremely overpriced and likely abandoned. Right out of the gate, Ace Meerkats is a borderline scam.
