Truly boring.
I loved this game. The story is awesome - it accurately shows the stages of grief acceptance and the causes of depression. Dialogues are meaningful and concise. Some game mechanics that were build around stages of acceptance are quiet original: it is pretty difficult to show through the gameplay such stage as "Bargaining" but the developer did it so well! Acceptance has some cons and the most important of them is a boring fighting system. It'll be better to have an emotional and smart game that can be beaten in 1 hour. One additional hour of beating monsters doesn't make it better. If you are patient enough - you may love the story and love this peace of art. If you prefer to hurry and to get new content every second - you might be disstressed.
I won't post this until I finish the game, but so far I really enjoy it. After losing my sister suddenly from a health problem and me dealing with mental health issues...this game hits home so far– I just finished the game. It really gave me a challenge but told the story clearly. I wish I could just give Emily a hug! I would play this game, it shares both perspectives of a loved one's death really well. Thank you.
I really wanted to like this game. I know I've said this in multiple reviews already (each for completely different games), but I am passionate about topics relating to mental health and psychology. That, combined with my intense amount of morbid curiosity, gave me the impression that the story and concept would hopefully be interesting, deep, and conversation-starting. It felt like I was part of the intended audience, but it just really didn't catch my attention after 15-ish minutes of trying. You may be asking, "Just 15-ish minutes?" "Yes," I may answer, "Because when a game isn't fun, every minute feels like an hour, you know, like how it does at work. And I don't want to feel like I'm at work when I'm not at work." Anyway, the review: First thing I noticed was that the art style and animation didn't really jive with me (but that's just my opinion). Then I kept thinking that the story was pretty slow. You're waiting for the thing to happen at the beginning that will start this whole arc, but then there's all this dialogue that I don't care about beforehand. Then the thing happens, and it STILL felt slow. Especially during the really, really, really unnecessary length of time it takes to go down that staircase... And of course this is one of those games where you can't sprint/run to give yourself the illusion/comfort that you're getting to places faster. Anyway, that section could have been much shorter. The last thing that made me give up was when combat was added, and it was really repetitive and boring. This would have been better as a walking sim. If you have patience and time, this might be a game for you to try. I just don't feel like forcing myself to play something in my limited spare time.
Игра для любителей побродить по уровням и повалить кого-либо из различных монстриков. По времени, которое наиграл по игре могу сказать, что она сделана просто, но в ней есть сюжет.
cant finish game because of bug
