About

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.

Meet the outcast heroes of Talamh, each with their unique fighting style.
From the shadows of Yeldrim, Galandra emerges as an unstoppable force of nature. Her colossal sword strikes with deadly precision, combined with chilling, destructive necromantic powers. Her calm demeanor is a thin veil, barely concealing the furious anger brewing inside her.
Karl is the last free dwarf of Talamh. Armed with an ancestral blunderbuss and his bare fists, he’s a master of close-range brawls and explosive tactics. What he lacks in reach at mid-range, he makes up for with raw strength and quick thinking, making him a stalwart ally in the revolt against Azra's oppression.
During their ordeals, two mysterious heroes will join them on a quest to overthrow the Sun King: Brome, a wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people, and the enigmatic Cider, a nimble skirmisher in search of answers among the scattered fragments of their own soul.

Absolum combines Dotemu and Guard Crush’s mastery in beat ‘em up gameplay with Supamonks' best-in-class art and animation. With its fast-paced action and endless replayability, Absolum will challenge you with multiple paths to explore and unpredictable encounters for a new experience each time you play.

Take down Azra’s elite guard with a mix of rapid combo chains and spellcasting powers, unleashing moves that feel as raw as they are strategic. Use magical counters and rare items to turn the tide in your favor and experience a combat system that demands skill and timing, pushing you to craft new strategies at every run to wreak havoc among the enemy ranks.

Lead the uprising against Azra's regime as a lone hero, or team up with a friend on your couch or online. Combine your elemental powers and synchronize your attacks into incredible chained combos!
The world of Talamh is an intricate tapestry brimming with secrets, stories, and betrayals. From the majestic mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba, every step of your odyssey will be accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart), and more!

Good
Absolum is a roguelite beat ’em up set in Talamh, where a group of outcast heroes fight to take magic back from Sun King Azra. Runs send you through branching paths, changing encounters, bosses, upgrades, and unlocks while keeping the side-scrolling brawler feel at the center. The game also uses hand-drawn animation, which is a big part of why everything looks so sharp in motion. Pros ✔️ The beat ’em up gameplay feels so good - It has that satisfying hit-to-hit flow I want from this kind of game, but the roguelite structure gives it more to chew on between runs. ✔️ Runs change in meaningful ways - The map shifts as you repeat levels and the world evolves, and having multiple paths keeps it from feeling like you are just replaying the same hallway over and over. ✔️ The animation is gorgeous - The hand-drawn style does so much work here. Attacks, enemies, and character movement all have a level of polish that makes the whole game feel alive. Cons ❌ The small roster makes unlocks feel odd - Having to unlock characters feels a bit strange when there are not many of them to begin with. ❌ Some item unlocks are more tedious than fun - The vault especially felt less like a fun reward track and more like extra work. ❌ I wanted more game - What is here is amazing, but I kept wishing there was more of it. That is partly me being greedy, but also a good sign. Conclusion This is easily up there with some of my favourite beat ’em ups, including Streets of Rage. It has that arcade brawler feel I already love, but with enough run-to-run changes to make me want to keep pushing further. I went in hoping it would be good and came out wishing there was more to tear through, which is probably one of the best problems a game can have. Score 9.5/10 Arcana Strikes - A gorgeous brawler that left me demanding more game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love this game! It's a really cool mix of beat 'em up and roguelite that works very well. The pacing is great, with short runs near the beginning that help you get your footing, building up to longer runs once you've got the rules of the game set in stone (with co-op runs being a little more forgiving with the addition of reviving downed teammates.) Losing a longer run doesn't feel like the end of the world, in part due to being rewarded with progression currency regardless of how successful your run was, allowing you to permanently upgrade yourself or start with an extra bonus if needed. Plus, each run has randomized elements, which adds tons of variety on top of the number of alternate paths you can take. This game doesn't end after you've completed the main story. I was doing crazy amounts runs in a single session just to see more of the world and to experiment with different builds, and that was before they added the postgame (post-postgame?) modifiers. There are also character-based quests that allow you to learn more about the characters while facing new foes and challenges, and that's on top of the extra story bits and areas that can be found as you open up more of the world. The multiplayer functionality itself is solid, both online and offline. Online-wise, there's systems in place to balance co-op players' save games to keep early-game players unspoiled without sacrificing the endgame player's experience. However, I do recommend going through the game with a known buddy whether you're playing local or online, at least for your first handful of runs. Playing with randos is a good way to see secrets and curiosities, but it can occasionally land you in some of the nastier secret zones without the tools and knowledge to not die as fast. I'd save online with randos for after you've explored most of the map, or at least have had a couple complete runs under your belt. My personal favorite character is Galandra with a ton of necromancy rituals because I like to spam creeps and use my epic big sword. You can also get a mid-run perk that adds a big floating sword behind you that just does stuff on its own. Boss ♥♥♥♥
Fun alone, even better with friends
JEUGAZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
+ Истории персонажей интересные, играть в коопе весело, игра удивляет возможностями (когда думаешь, что всё уже в игре видел, а игру ты не прошёл несколько раз, то ты видел не всё), красивый визуал - Короткая сюжетка
The game is great, but you need to be patient and give it enough time.
