About

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.

Meet the outcast heroes of Talamh, each with their unique fighting style.
From the shadows of Yeldrim, Galandra emerges as an unstoppable force of nature. Her colossal sword strikes with deadly precision, combined with chilling, destructive necromantic powers. Her calm demeanor is a thin veil, barely concealing the furious anger brewing inside her.
Karl is the last free dwarf of Talamh. Armed with an ancestral blunderbuss and his bare fists, he’s a master of close-range brawls and explosive tactics. What he lacks in reach at mid-range, he makes up for with raw strength and quick thinking, making him a stalwart ally in the revolt against Azra's oppression.
During their ordeals, two mysterious heroes will join them on a quest to overthrow the Sun King: Brome, a wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people, and the enigmatic Cider, a nimble skirmisher in search of answers among the scattered fragments of their own soul.

Absolum combines Dotemu and Guard Crush’s mastery in beat ‘em up gameplay with Supamonks' best-in-class art and animation. With its fast-paced action and endless replayability, Absolum will challenge you with multiple paths to explore and unpredictable encounters for a new experience each time you play.

Take down Azra’s elite guard with a mix of rapid combo chains and spellcasting powers, unleashing moves that feel as raw as they are strategic. Use magical counters and rare items to turn the tide in your favor and experience a combat system that demands skill and timing, pushing you to craft new strategies at every run to wreak havoc among the enemy ranks.

Lead the uprising against Azra's regime as a lone hero, or team up with a friend on your couch or online. Combine your elemental powers and synchronize your attacks into incredible chained combos!
The world of Talamh is an intricate tapestry brimming with secrets, stories, and betrayals. From the majestic mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba, every step of your odyssey will be accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart), and more!

Great coop game with crispy combat and replayability. I didn't think I would like it, since I've never played this type of games before, but it definitely deserves attention and a positive review.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is hands down one of the best Beat'em Ups I've ever played and I've played a lot. Great mechanics all around, great enemy design, absolutely gorgeous art and music. The game is also shockingly long for a beat'em up with 4 major regions, several optional areas, lots of unlockables and tons of random quests and events to shake things up between runs. Unlike a typical beat'em up this is also a roguelite where you stack abilities for specific builds and there are a lot of really fun builds. Builds all about throwing items, all about throwing enemies, all about countering enemy attacks. I even had a build all about spamming my special attack (of which there are several to choose from for each character). All four characters are really fun including the two you start with and they all play really differently. They all have interesting backstories as well that tie into the world. Speaking of which as you play the game you'll uncover more and more details about the world and all of the worldbuilding is really interesting and excellently done. Okay I feel like I need to say something that is at least mildly negative so the mount system could use a little work. They have low stamina even with upgrades and appear fairly rarely so spending crystals on upgrades or getting items to boost them always feels a bit pointless. They're strong when you get them but not incredibly so, especially since they almost certainly won't proc anything related to your build unless you spec into it, which again isn't good since they're fairly rare. Having said that this is a very small part of the game and it's not even a problem since you can sell items you don't want and mounts are still fun, interesting and useful. It's more that the rest of the game is so amazing this feature stands out by being mediocre. The 2 player is really fun, I'm sure some beat'em up fans might be disappointed it's only 2-player and not 4 but trust me it's for the best with everything happening on screen even 3 players would be pretty unplayable and they use the space given so well I really wouldn't want it any other way. Other than the mount stuff I don't have a single bad word to say about this game if you've EVER liked beat'em ups you should buy this game and honestly even if you're not usually a fan I'd give it a try if you have any interest in action or fighting games because it really is a blast. Probably my favorite game of the year. Buy it at full price you won't regret it. Actually, devs increase the price this isn't enough, let me give you more money.
A fantastic beat-em-up/roguelite I keep coming back to. great soundtrack and a good run variety!

I haven't played many beat-them-ups before, but this one really got me hooked. So many secrets and little details, with lots of interesting items and abilities to keep each run fresh. Highly recommend, especially if you've got a pal to coop with.
El señor de los anillos si tuviera sapos
Absolum ist eine Hommage an die alten Beatem-Up-Spiele. Doch für mich wurde das Spiel noch besser, als ich es im Koop mit einem Freund gespielt habe. Einfach cool!
