Abalyte is a 2D-roguelike metroidvania that focuses on the player's skill and inventiveness. While other games have crutches or progression systems that help the player beat the game, Abalyte does the opposite and throws you in a spike-pit.

Bad and boring game, the music is the best of this little abandoned game)
Honestly, this game showed potential. Back in 2018, when it was first released, I was really excited for it! It had some interesting gameplay in the form of weapons that all have different effects, not just on the enemy but also on you. At its core it's a simple sidescrolling Metroidvania style game which, if you're into that sort genre, is amazing! Unfortunately the game has been abandoned, and we are now sitting at 2 years without any updates or community posts from the developer as of writing this. If the game had received updates I would be recommending it, but as it stands currently this game is a waste of your time. There's not much to it at this stage, and there likely won't be anything new added ever.

2D ama gerçekten beni zorlayan bir oyun oldu basit bir oyunu neden bu kadar zor yapıyorlar ben hala anlam verebilmiş değilim.
this game is more than 4 years in early access. I don´t recommend this game.
-Clunky Movement -Repetitive Mapping -Poor Map Layout -Lack of Mechanics -Poor Rogue-like implementation -Lack of Items -Pointless/Useless Progression -Clunky pause menu -Game forces to front upon death Etc.
This isn't an easy game to complete but if you want a nice challenge from a small little game give it a shot. Performs well and haven't had any issues with it.
It's pretty boring. There are only around 5 stage layouts to go through, all of them feeling pretty samey. Idk where the game with the open layout from the screenshots is. To be fair, that might be a thing after I would have finished the final domain, but I'm already pretty cooked on this game. The bull boss would've been a little fun if a random enemy didn't spawn every 3 seconds (which I find to be very cheap and frustrating). There is also nothing metroidvania here, and it's barely rougelike. It's just a 2-D room-to-room beat-'em-up. The shopkeep guy doesn't ever have anything to sell. tbh idk why this is in my library to begin with. 1/10 has some kind of potential, but since this game hasn't been updated in 3 years, I think it's safe to say this one is a pass.
Abalyte is an abandoned Early Access 2D retro pixel platformer that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. The game was abandoned less than a year after launch and has received no updates in almost 3 years. It was a very basic 2D retro pixel platformer/brawler with a "metroidvania" tag slapped on it. The developer was unable to come up with decent level design or game/story flow/plot, so they opted to try to use samey repetitive procgen algorithms as a substitute for adding content to the game. As a result, the game doesn't actually have any content worth mentioning, just endless, boring, repetitive, soulless algorithmically generated sameyness. Developers must learn that procedural generation is not an acceptable substitute for content. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs. It's unclear if that was the goal here as the game is temporarily available for free, but the developer also indicated they would start charging for their effort filling out GameMaker Studio 2D platformer templates once they "finished". Which they never will because they abandoned the game. Like most GameMaker Studio construction kit "games", this features lazy 2D retro pixel "art", instead of professionally done, contemporary PC graphics. Controls and resolution are locked, which pushes this below acceptable standards for PC. As if the game being dead and abandoned isn't enough.
