An adventure in space... :o

Introduction
A Tiny Space Adventure is a kid-friendly, adventure game with puzzles developed by Erhan Yildirim and published by Pixcodream. You take on the role of Victor (whose name can be changed), living in the peaceful town of Greenfield, along with your little sister, Elsa (whose name can also be changed), your parents, and your dog, Jupiter. After the usual family night, Victor is getting ready for bed when he notices something strange outside his home. He runs outside to see a UFO above his house and Elsa being abducted. If that wasn't crazy enough, Jupiter approaches Victor and talks to him, explaining that he was supposed to protect their family although he failed to prevent Elsa from being taken by a group of cat aliens. Of course, Victor is trying to wrap his head around all these crazy events, not to mention finding out that Jupiter can actually talk. However, he's determined to rescue Elsa and Jupiter is more than happy to help. Thus, Victor and Jupiter embark on their space adventure, where they'll travel to various planets and meet aliens along the way. XD With the gameplay, it focuses quite a lot on story, and there are some choices that pop up. The choices don't affect the overall direction of the story, though, as the outcome ends up being the same. Two kinds of puzzles pop up as well, which are memory card matching and 3x3 jigsaw puzzles. Lots of CGs are present as well as a varied soundtrack but no voice acting. There are Steam achievements, too, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "profile features limited".
Review
After reading the store page description, the game caught my attention, especially with its quirky story. The publisher was kind to send over a review key, so that I could have a chance to play the game and give my thoughts. First, I enjoyed the story, which consists of six episodes. It does start off slowly, especially if you choose to play the tutorial that takes you through Victor's day at school. I believe the tutorial is meant to introduce you to the two main puzzles as well as to visual novels, for those who aren't familiar with the medium. The story really starts to get exciting when Elsa gets abducted and Victor finds out that Jupiter is a talking alien dog. It's definitely a bit out there, what with alien dogs and cats and discovering plenty of life on other planets. However, the tone is reaching out towards kids, so I can totally understand. I found the story to be delightful and entertaining, keeping me on the edge of my chair at times as Victor and Jupiter keep trying to reach Elsa, only for her to barely elude them through some weird events. When you find out why Elsa was abducted, well, let's just say that aliens can have unusual culinary preferences, and Elsa just happens to be a culinary genius. lol Thankfully, the story ends happily, and at the time of this review, there are upcoming plans for a secret episode. As for the gameplay, I found the choices to be non-consequential. In my opinion, it isn't necessary to have them since they don't affect the story's outcome or whatnot. With the puzzles, I found them enjoyable but easy. To be fair, this game is aimed towards kids, so it makes sense that they're on the simpler side. They don't take much time or trial-and-error to complete although I believe they can be skipped if you just want to progress with the story. All the achievements are obtainable, so I didn't have any problems with them. Next is the art. It is stated on the store page that the art is AI-generated. Generally, I prefer to have hand-drawn art in games, even if they end up being pricier as a result. Of course, there's always going to be debate about the use of AI, so I'll just give my honest thoughts. I feel like the 2-D art is fine even though I prefer having a more human touch to make it emotional and personal. Still, it suffices to move the story along. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3469498514 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3469498669 The only sprites that I wasn't a fan of were the slightly 3-D alien ones, like the culinary king. To me, they come off a bit off-putting, but then again, this comes down to personal preference. In regards to the music, I enjoyed listening to the tracks. They give off that outer space adventure theme, which is perfect since most of the story does take place in outer space and on planets that aren't Earth. They're quite fun to listen to, and with the addition of appropriate sound effects, they bring the story and its characters to life.
Conclusion
Would I recommend A Tiny Space Adventure? If you're a parent or grandparent looking for a fun, child-friendly game for your kids or grandkids to play that has easy puzzles and you don't mind the use of AI-generated art and/or you're looking to obtain Steam achievements, then it's worth a look. As I focus more on the story, I found the game to be enjoyable, but I can understand if others focus more on the art and its implications. At the asking price, it's fairly reasonable, but you can wait for a sale. Finally, I'd like to thank Pixcodream for the review key. A Tiny Space Adventure has a very fun, enjoyable story that's wonderful for kids and their parents and/or grandparents to read. ^^
For more detailed, fully complete, high quality reviews like this, please follow The Introverted Gamer, prioritizing heart and soul always. ^^
A Tiny Space Adventure is a short point-and-click puzzle game where you play as a brother and his talking dog, Jupiter, on a mission to rescue his sister from aliens. It’s meant to be a lighthearted, family-friendly journey through space, with quirky characters and a few puzzles along the way. Pros: ✔️ Shows Anyone Can Publish on Steam: I’ll give it this—it’s proof that anyone can make and release a game. That’s kind of inspiring in its own way. ✔️ More Than One Puzzle Type: There are at least a couple of different puzzle mechanics, so it’s not just the same thing over and over. ✔️ Dogs in Space: I mean, dogs in space are always cool. Jupiter is probably the best part of the game. Cons: ❌ Poorly Made: The game feels slapped together. The AI-generated art looks cheap and inconsistent, with characters changing appearance between scenes. ❌ Inconsistent Art Style: There’s no cohesion in the visuals. It’s jarring and takes away from any potential charm. ❌ Glitchy Script: The writing is full of errors, and the game is riddled with glitches that make it hard to enjoy. Conclusion: Honestly, A Tiny Space Adventure feels more like an interactive PowerPoint than a finished game. Charging over $5 for this is audacious. It’s a collection of mismatched assets and half-baked ideas that don’t come together in any meaningful way. I can’t in good conscience recommend it to anyone. Score: 5 out of 100 space crumbs—a cosmic misadventure that’s best left unexplored.
A Tiny Space Adventure is most definitely done with AI art and that seems very unacceptable. Even though it is AI i think the style looks good but believe it should have been hand drawn. The way some things looked made it obvious that someone didn't draw the imagery for this game. The story at the beginning was super drawn out and got me bored waiting for more puzzles. 4/10
