A Short Hike

In the last month my dad and my beloved cat, Kovu both had surgery. Everything went well in the end, but it was definitely a completely messy rollercoaster and we thought the worst was going to happen. I've somewhat been feeling kinda meh since then, I guess my body took an emotional toll. I also just started working in a new place which I'm not entirely loving or feeling super comfortable with. My fiance is out of the country working and none of my friends could make time to hang out. Among other reasons, it's safe to say I've been having some crying sessions here and there since yesterday, lol. I've just been feeling lonely. I've been wanting to play A short hike since forever, but for some reason I just never bought it. Then my fiance gifted it to me before he left for his trip and I guess THIS was the reason, I honestly couldn't have played it at a better time. It was fun, beautiful, its a real simple game yet a bit challenging, and I cried at the end. I completely forgot about my troubles, I'll definitely hold this one close to my heart.

When there's a lot on your mind, sometimes all you need is A Short Hike :) I actually cried at the summit. Amazing music and art style.

The perfect cozy game. I usually get bored by endless games like Animal Crossing, but this is the ideal hybrid: cozy, but with a distinct ending. It reminded me to stop rushing and just enjoy the wholesome vibe, great side content, and beautiful soundtrack.

难得的好游戏，非常有趣 游戏没有给任何的地图只有简单的几个路标，但你如果随便走走便会发现作者故意设置的一些硬币一些宝箱，在自由探索这个岛屿的同时拥有正反馈，让你在迷路与认路中会心一笑 游戏最终目标是登上山峰取得信号与生病的母亲取得联系，但是岛屿的内容体量十分大，你可以拿着棍子和小孩打排球，租船在海上玩竞速，甚至能钓鱼。让我想起了苹果arcade的 sasquatch 画风一样玩法多样 游戏的场景渲染的很有魅力，碧蓝海洋，黄金麦田，远景还会有雾气滤镜，最后登顶的极光真的把我惊艳到了。这个游戏的音乐也很有趣，海拔越高音乐就越激昂，最后从山峰翱翔下去也有独特的配乐。 我认为这款游戏的缺点就是固定切换的镜头有时会导致方向颠倒没法正常飞行，而且地图相对于开放时间来说有点小了，希望后面作者能出dlc拓展地图和剧情。
