A Pretty Odd Bunny is a stealth-focused platformer developed by AJ Ordaz Games and published by 2Awesome Studio that stands out for its unusual concept and clever twist on traditional side-scrolling gameplay. At first glance, the game appears to be a colorful and charming platform adventure populated by cute rabbits and bright environments. However, beneath its playful presentation lies a mischievous and slightly dark comedic premise: the main character is a rabbit with a secret craving for pigs. Because the other rabbits strongly disapprove of this carnivorous habit, the player must guide the protagonist through each level without letting anyone discover the true goal. This unusual narrative setup transforms what might otherwise be a standard platformer into a stealth puzzle experience driven by careful observation and timing. The story itself is intentionally simple, serving primarily as the context for the game’s unique gameplay mechanics. The red-eyed rabbit protagonist lives among a community of ordinary rabbits who follow a strictly herbivorous lifestyle. Unfortunately, this particular bunny has developed a taste for pigs, which means pursuing its meal must be done in secret. Each level ends with a pig waiting somewhere in the environment, but reaching it requires navigating a series of obstacles and avoiding the watchful eyes of other rabbits who patrol the area. If one of these rabbits catches the protagonist attempting to reach the pig, the mission immediately fails, forcing players to rethink their approach and try again. The core gameplay revolves around stealth-based navigation combined with classic platforming mechanics. Players guide the rabbit through side-scrolling environments filled with platforms, hiding spots, and patrolling rabbits that must be avoided. Movement includes running, jumping, crouching, and hiding behind objects such as crates or environmental structures. Because the protagonist cannot defeat enemies or directly confront the other rabbits, success depends entirely on staying hidden and carefully planning each movement. This mechanic encourages players to study enemy patrol patterns and identify the safest moment to move forward. Each level is essentially structured like a puzzle that must be solved through careful observation. Some rabbits patrol back and forth, while others remain stationary but can still detect the player if they enter their line of sight. Players must pay close attention to the direction each rabbit is facing, as well as any blind spots in the environment that provide opportunities for stealthy movement. In many cases, rushing forward without thinking leads to instant failure, making patience and strategy essential to completing each stage. As players progress through the game, the level design gradually becomes more complex. New obstacles and environmental hazards are introduced, including spikes, moving platforms, and narrow passages that require precise timing to cross. Later levels often combine these hazards with multiple patrolling rabbits, forcing players to balance platforming precision with stealth awareness. This gradual escalation keeps the gameplay engaging while ensuring that players have time to learn and master each new mechanic before more difficult challenges appear. The game is divided into several themed worlds, each containing numerous levels that introduce new visual styles and gameplay variations. Across these environments, players encounter over eighty stages that steadily increase in difficulty. Some levels are short and focused on a single puzzle idea, while others involve more elaborate layouts with multiple patrol routes and hazards to consider. Hidden collectibles are also scattered throughout many stages, encouraging players to explore every corner of the environment and rewarding those who take the time to search for secrets. One of the most distinctive aspects of A Pretty Odd Bunny is its visual presentation. The art style is bright, colorful, and intentionally cute, with smooth animations that give the characters an expressive and playful personality. The rabbits display exaggerated facial expressions and lively movements that make them feel almost cartoon-like in their behavior. This charming aesthetic creates an interesting contrast with the game’s underlying concept, where the protagonist’s goal involves secretly hunting pigs. The juxtaposition between the cheerful visuals and the slightly dark humor gives the game a unique tone that sets it apart from more traditional platformers. The animation work deserves particular attention, as it contributes significantly to the personality of the characters and the overall atmosphere of the game. The rabbits move with fluid, hand-crafted animations that make their patrol routes feel natural and believable. The protagonist’s sneaky movements and exaggerated reactions add a layer of humor to the stealth mechanics, reinforcing the idea that this is a mischievous bunny constantly trying to avoid getting caught. Sound design further enhances the playful tone of the experience. The game features upbeat and whimsical background music that matches the colorful environments and lighthearted presentation. Sound effects help emphasize player actions such as jumping, hiding, or interacting with objects, providing clear feedback during gameplay. The soundtrack maintains a cheerful energy throughout the adventure, balancing the stealth mechanics with a sense of fun and mischief. The level design is one of the game’s strongest elements. Each stage functions like a miniature stealth puzzle that requires players to think carefully about their movements. Early levels introduce basic mechanics in a forgiving way, allowing players to learn how patrol patterns work and how to take advantage of hiding spots. As the game progresses, these ideas become more elaborate, combining multiple enemies, environmental hazards, and platforming challenges into increasingly complex scenarios. This steady progression helps maintain engagement while ensuring the difficulty curve feels fair. Despite its many strengths, the game does have some limitations. Because failure occurs instantly when the player is spotted, some stages may require multiple attempts before players successfully execute the correct strategy. This trial-and-error approach can occasionally feel frustrating, particularly in longer levels where mistakes near the end require repeating earlier sections. However, for players who enjoy puzzle-oriented gameplay, this challenge becomes part of the satisfaction of finally solving a difficult level. Another potential limitation is that the core gameplay mechanics remain relatively consistent throughout the adventure. While the environments and obstacles change between worlds, the basic objective—reach the pig without being seen—remains the same across all stages. For most players this consistency reinforces the game’s puzzle structure, but those seeking constantly evolving mechanics may find the formula somewhat repetitive over extended play sessions. Overall, A Pretty Odd Bunny is a clever indie platformer that proves a simple concept can lead to engaging gameplay when executed with creativity and attention to detail. The game’s mixture of stealth, platforming, and humor results in an experience that feels both playful and strategically satisfying. For players who enjoy puzzle-driven platformers with a quirky sense of humor, the odd little bunny’s secret mission provides a delightful and memorable adventure. Rating: 7/10
i really recommend! its super Mario if he was a flesh eating bunny. Cute, tricky, fun and kind of dark. I cant wait to see where this game goes.
The game contains a lot of bugs, especially the chapter 3 level 17 one. the bunny catch you as soon as you drop the platform, so you can't complete the game
I guess you can say you play as a pretty odd bunny.
In World 4 (Bunny Town at Night), Level 20: upon reaching the crate with a mouse standing on top of it, the second Bacon Coin is completely missing. As a result, I am unable to achieve a 100% completion rate, falling short by just this single coin, which is incredibly frustrating.
