Meh. Got lured in by the nice visuals, but eventually got faced with boring and meaningless wandering. If you have all the time in the world and have nothing better to play or do - attaboy.
The artwork in the game looks amazing and hand drawn! The story is in depth and there is a lot to do in this game! Lots to explore and experience! Huge map to explore! Love it all! https://youtu.be/adDdXqS84YY

Lovely in theory, hard to enjoy in practice. There are a few major & minor bugs present, ruining the game experience as well as the ending I was hoping to get. It's especially frustrating as the game saves only at the start of a new day, so if one encounters a bug in the middle of the day, one has to go through the whole day again, just to check if this bug was a one-time thing or ever-present, making you live through a semi-groundhog day everytime it happens. I encountered several annoying ones here and there, and still tried to pull through, but when
I bought the ticket and still wasn't able to go in the theater on the day it opened no matter what I did
I lost it. This feels more like an early access rather than a full game. The state of this is jarring considering the fact that this game has been released for almost 3 years now.
A Narrative based kinda Roguelike mixed with time mechanics. It has a bit of Majora's Mask and Lovecraft sprinkled here and there (I mean, kind of a generous sprinkle of the latter) Which are both things I really like. It has its own particular rythm and the art is killer. Every scenery is hand drawn and looks very well.
So I just finished my first run. What a wild run. I bought this game attracted at first by its Over the Garden Wall aesthetics, stayed for the plot, persisted sober, affected by speedy gysahl greens, then sober again and finally finished it as by now. I think I'm one of the few that have played the game for so long. Surprising. The game is difficult, but not in the traditional sense. Where to go, what to do - clues are vague, sometimes way too vague to the point you'll spend the whole day wandering aimlessly trying to find that one elusive character. It's also buggy, incredibly buggy, to be honest it looks like a polished unfinished beta - a really cool one, but a beta nonetheless. I purchased a ticket for the Theater, an ingame exclusive event added post launch with juicy lore and the game got bugged, I could not access it. Made me almost drop the run. Other bugs are minor, but still present, though they do not impact the game that much, Characters are incredibly charismatic, the game is extremely profound in its interactions, really complex ones once you get to know everyone. There are a lot of shocking moments, pleasant ones and mindblowing. The storytelling is amazing. I'm spanish, so I've played it in its original language and holy moly it's delightfully written, each character uses vocabulary and expressions associated with their social status and level of culture, it's a masterpiece in that sense. Was it worthy? Hm. Mixed feelings. Definetly a must buy if the game is in discount. You need to be very patience with it though, cause the pacing is slow and you'll feel frustratingly slow and lost way too many times. I personally got an ending I did not wanted, the romantic one, which left me kinda bumped about it. But that's on me, socializing and doing character's quest define the end, and it seems I effed it up, cause I certainly didnt want to get that one in particular. Overall a good experience, my first 10 or 12 hours of gameplay I was high as a duck and played non stop enjoying every single second. The game could be polished, quests could have a bit more info about where to go and info about where characters wander too. Going to bed shouldnt be restricted to "wait to 6". My final stance is a solid 8/10. I'm gonna have a hard time doing a NG run cause the beginning is slow and I'm extremely confused as to how to get other endings (forget about guides, there are none out there), but kudos to the team for making the game, it was quite enjoyable.
Very unique game that I can't recommended it enough to anyone who want to play something different
I never knew I needed a game that was a combination of Pathologic 2 and Saturday morning cartoons but here we are.
Très bon jeu, avec un univers bien à lui, d'inspiration lovecraftienne, intrigant dans son scénario avec un style graphique très agréable. Vraiment intéressant à suivre, il gagnerait à être plus connu !
